    Hi people...

Im trying to find someone to view a bike for me proir to purchase.

I've tried ringing the guy at MD Racing but can't get hold him.

Google hasn't been successful regarding finding someone else that provides the same service.

The bike is in Cheltenham and I'm Lincoln, I can't get a day off for nearly two weeks so I'm a little stuck.

If I could find someone to view it I could then arrange a courier.

    Any help gratefully received.

    Cheers

    Marko.

I am not far from Cheltenham and am prepared to help, I hope the purchaser will know that I will be viewing on your behalf though.

Is it a dealer (Completely Motorbikes?) or private? PM me if you wish.:)

Knock out a wall, take over the adjoining unit, job done.

Hi Nigel...I have sent you a message.

    It is a private sale.

Thank you very much for your kind offer, absolutely brilliant!

Our Nigel has a great talent for sniffing out a good bike and I would happily buy any of his bikes knowing I'd be getting a good'en!

I still wouldn't buy a bike without seeing it first though...... Plus Nigel is ridiculously picky over his bikes and what might put him off, might not put you off!

What age is the bike you're interested in??

If its only a few year old then it'll hopefully be OK.... but if we're talking a much older machine, it's a risk no matter who's looking at it!

Thanks Paulo. Much appreciated - and true, of course!! :D;)

It's a nice looking 2008. I'll leave it to @Marko74 if he wants to say more. No doubt if he goes ahead, you will see pics next week.;)

    Evening all..

Paulo I'm very relieved to have Nigel to help me out. I will happily admit that I'm not massively confident when buying anything with an engine.

And I'll be honest, I didn't think I'd be in the position I'm in after making my original post.

It does look a nice bike for an 08 but I don't want to get too excited just yet. There will indeed be pictures if it all goes well.

    Fingers crossed....

@Boothman thanks for the link, it does look good doesn't it... and if the one on Saturday isn't up to standard, that one would be next on the list!

From a purely visual aspect only, I would rate 'Chukz' bike as better. I think it started out at about £4700. The key to this bike is the mileage and I would pay a premium for low mileage any day of the week - especially where the price difference is so little:)

I would rate this an opportunity rather than a dilemma!;)

Agree 100% - got to be a deal had here between @Marko74 and @Chukzn17. Not wanting to do you out of a trip here @nigelrb and know nothing of the bike originally of interest, but unless it’s from another forum member @Chukzn17 has credibility (at least amongst us) to stand over a blind purchase

    Thanks guys ,
I’d be more happy to sell to a forum member rather than the dealership,

As advertised on ebay , the honda dealership has offered me £4100 for my bike.
Id be happy to sell on here for £4150-£4200 , and if you would like the pipewerx i’d add £150 ontop of the sale price :)

    Thanks
    Charlie

No problem to me either way. I have high regard for all forum members and have no problem offering impartial help.

What I do have a problem with though, and with the greatest respect, is that @Chukzn17 's bike is advertised on eBay for £4100 yet seeks here to jack up the price by £150 - £200 for the interested purchaser. I think that is really bad form that any Tom. Dick, or Harry can jump on to ebay and buy the bike for £4100, yet a forum member - and one not even seeking preferential treatment - is treated with a contemptuous slaughtering of price hiking.

If you read my ebay advert you can see in the description , that i state any offer above £4100 would be accepted.... my ebay ad is also a classified advert , not a buy it now , also , selling to the dealership is less than private sale would get me. And lastly , private buyers as experienced do not always turn up/ try to negotiate .. pick bad faults, have trouble with payment methods etc .. so if you think about it , £150 for extra for me to wait around, make arrangements with potential buyers is fair considering without
That £150 i could just drop it straight off to
Honda and have the money in my bank the same day is pretty fair in my opinion ... so in this case £150 ontop I think is fair ‘slaunderous hiking’

No matter how you dress it up, the bike is advertised at £4100 as a Classified advertisement. No one will pay more than the asking price and this might offer a small insight into why the bike has not sold.
