Hi guys, first post on a new forum for a long time, I've just come from a BMW S10000RR that u fortunately got written off.....and bought a 2004 CBR1000RR instead. My question is going to sound rather squiddy, but I am anything but.... I have always enjoyed a loud exhaust, think SC Project CRT, beautiful tone and extremely loud. What in your experience is loud and with a nice tone for an RR4? This is my first bike with an under tail exhaust...so sexy! Dave
The original post has gone t1ts up as Photobucket pics are now dead. See are the photos of the stock can after opening up the welded seam with a grinder and drilling out the insides.
I've got a Two Bros end can on my '06 (think it's the same as the '04) and I'm really pleased with it, looks better than stock and sounds much beefier: https://www.twobros.com/collections/sport/products/honda-cbr1000rr-2004-2006-slip-exhaust Alternatively have a look at this:
I am debating a Yoshi RS5 for mine with a de-cat stainless exhaust (in hand). What is the GPR like gravel trap? Fitment, tone, looks? Looked at the all black version but love the weld lines on the nose cone of the carbon version. sad i know
It's quiet deep on tick over and in normal traffic . When you open it up it screams. Motorway is 100% ear plug time. Mines an old can with the twin triangle within an oval outlet.
I fancied something that was 't all electronic everything. It felt disconnected somehow. The fireblade feels perfect to me without the nannies, no fly by wire throttle and all that! A raw experience that I love! And...it's comfortable
I had a suspicion it would be loud in full chat. Decided to go with the Yoshi RS5 with a carbon tip Have to say tho yours sits well on the bike, I like how the exhaust “mirrors” the back end angle really rather nicely you just need to sort that plate out and a tail tidy
