Are they carbon fairings? Seen these on IG. I was expecting a more moto2 front end look but the Daytona is a decent looking bike anyways. I prefer the earlier versions to look at but you can bet it will be sublime to ride.
Not me! Hence why I still have the 08, the blade hasn’t changed enough to warrant me to buy another, but you’re right Honda have done the same and I’ve said that before too, especially about the current blade
Nice. I think it looks trick in those pics I seen on instagram. Better than any on the triumph pages! Reckon it will look great in the flesh.
£16k I’d be pissed if that wasn’t carbon bodywork, looks real but with the hydro dipping as good as it is these days who knows for certain?
It will be ....I agree it will look better in the flesh.....I know I keep saying it but the new R1m Carbon black looks like the nearest one yet to a GP bike especially the new front end and rear tail....although no more power due to euro 5 But how much bhp do you need I would love to have a go on the 765 having learnt the trade on many 600 will be a real riders bike the more you put in the more you get out...had a go on the new BMW yes of course powerful but finish from pound land and sterile....miss my 848 sometimes then would have had best of both worlds..
Nose looks worse than the standard Daytona and and to me isn’t special looking enough, take away the silver Union Jack on the side and all you have is the fair 765 street triple with added side fairings, bit like Suzuki did with the sv650 a few years back[/QUOTE] What a load of rubbish I have a street triple RS it doesn’t have nx30 front forks, race rear shock the one on the rs is no more ohlins than I am. Carbon fairings race sub frame blipper assist lighter wheels extra bhp limited edition it really isn’t a street triple
I am afraid unless you put 16k in my hand you won’t be riding mine ha ha there’s a few in my area my dealer said yesterday they have 9 orders.
Triumph guy at Silverstone yesterday said the accessory list wasn’t finalised yet. I agree the photos online don’t do it justice and it doesn’t look that great from the front. However, in the sunshine in Silverstone yesterday it looked pretty special. I’ve loads of photos but won’t swamp you all with my poor photography here. And did I mention it sounded great too?
I agree, it's not as appealing from the front, but I don't intend to be looking at it from that perspective very often. The special things about this bike are the frame, suspension, engine, exhaust system, brakes, and overall setup of the bike. The carbon fibre fairings are a bonus from my perspective. But I understand why this might not appeal to everyone - I'm excited about the prospect of owning one and I'll make no apologies for going on about it between now and March next year. Feel grateful that I hadn't put an order in for a Norton V4 RR, as I'd probably be going on about that until 2022..!
Funny how these numbers are different depending upon where you look. The Triumph press release says 35+ accessories, the guys at Silverstone said "more than 40" (which I guess is 35+).. I'm hoping these don't just include things like tank bags, and tail tidies..
The information on the accessories stated that they were performance enhancers though - so hopefully that's a hint to something more than bags and bits..
I'm pushing for an LED headlight option - as the bike on display had the old characteristic left lamp lit on dipped and right lamp as the main beam (as you look at the bike from the front). I used to have so many people tell me that I had a light out on my CBR600RR that had the same configuration. Don't know if Triumph have used LED headlights on any other of their bikes, but it can't be that difficult surely..?
What Triumph should have done is to try and incorporate the headlights into the fairing better, (i.e. Hide them) similar to what Yamaha did with the R1 or use LED strip lighting like Ducati have done. That way it might actually resemble a Moto 2 bike! The rear tail light leaves alot to be desired also. How hard can it be to make it actually look like a Moto 2 bike??? I mean it's just body work!!! It's been marketed as a Moto 2 replica, for me that would mean it should look like one!
I see several performance options available..mostly stickers, which (as we all know) add the most power. Right @PauloHRC ?
