I can just see the Greater Spotted Bike Bore prattling on, "I tell you, lad, when I rode a bike it was much safer. We didn't have all of these horseless carriages you have to deal with today."

Clicked over 1000 miles on the blade this morning. :)
Liking it a lot. Has it's quirks(clunky, snatchy and hot in town) but man - what an a-road machine. After years of thrashing the wee 400 everything seems so effortless and smooth.

Couple of pics from a day spent zig-zagging over the Campsies and Trossachs.

More of my regular haunts, I’m starting to feel quite at home on this forum now.:)
Good effort that’s a fair amount of miles. I have did similar here, went out one morning for a quick blast and came home 500 miles later.

The other couple of longish runs so far were Oban via Inverary and a spin down to Cumbria.
Both trips dry out then absolutely torrential back. Fairing's not bad though and the bum warmer is a lot more welcome when it's cold and wet than when it's scorching and you're stuck at lights. :)

Was hellova gritty up the Trossachs. Lot of patching and resurfacing been going on.
...which'll be great when everything beds in, brushes off and starts discolouring, but at the moment it's all a little nervy.
Highlight was going along Venachar. I always love that stretch and by a happy fluke of traffic had it all to myself. :D

Damn, sorry! - just realised how badly that was worded.

Didn't do 1000 miles yesterday morning. Just clicked the trip over 1000 from getting on the road a few weeks ago. Longest run has been about 300 miles.

think i have done about 4500 miles on mine since i got it at christmas :D beats me how people can keep them for years and put 3000 miles on them, far too tempting to take it out

Just got back from the IOM, went over to watch the Classic TT and have a blast on the Blade. What a place, if you've never been, do it. Epic!

Take it from me, @blink , it's pretty easy. Actually, 3,000 would be damn hard for me to achieve. I did 265 miles on 1 bike last year and 400 on another.:D

To be fair though, I still rack up an accumulated 5,000-plus over 12 months;).

thats not quite the same as a 5 year old bike up for sale with 1000 miles on it though, just seems bizarre

I do know what ur getting at with yours though.
