They're there to be ridden...and what a machine to ride :)
I wouldn't worry about keeping it pristine. I've done over 2k on mine this last 3 months and it's already got signs of wear...but it doesn't care...it told me it was just so glad to get out of its garage prison and run wild & free ;)

Black ones still in use all year round, mainly for longer journeys/trips and if the weathers anything other than fine all day :)

I put around 1400 miles on the BMW this year, 4600 on the Repsol and 3500 on the Harley. In contrast, I put just under 2000 miles on the new car..lol

In the absence of the cane, you could always resort to spam fritters and pie...just sayin.

Get an e-comfort seat they’re great, until then you could invest in a pair of padded cycling shorts - not as good as an e-comfort but better than just sitting on the plank Honda provide as standard

Can you get e-comfort seats still for the rr5? I find it just as uncomfortable as the 2015 blade on long journeys so could really do with a seat upgrade.

If you don't have a bony arse, consider yourself lucky. I've spent thousands on seats for my bikes to combat the problem. With my build (I'm all bones and sharp angles), I feel it after about an hour on the bike. You would figure I'd have developed an iron butt after riding for 30 years, but no such luck.
