So I'm due to change my fork oil soon and seals at the same time allso the fork bushings. I've always bought oe instead of say M&p . But I'm looking at Ktech aswell ..any recommendations between the 2. Price wise there is not a lot of difference .
I have fitted the SKF low friction ones, they are quite expensive and doing real life testing It is hard to say if they are any better.
I cant see there being a lot of difference. Only with the cheaper options ..which I'm not buying anyway. Thanks for the reply .
I got a set from All Balls Racing for my track day CBR600RR, the have double lip on the seals and seem well made. Forks rebuilt after replacing the bushes and seals, full strip, clean and fresh Motul fork oil. 1st set of forks i've ever done.
I picked a set up from honda yesterday. Neatly £45 a pair. 2 seals plus 2 dust seals. I have the bushes too .20k and no history of it ever being done .so full strip and clean is well over due. Thanks for the reply .
Yes.theyve seen better days I've never changed the bushes before on a bike .but as they come out anyway it seems the sensible thing to do.
Fork bushes are classed as DU this is made from lead and Teflon, When you take out even a good set of bushes and look under a microscope you will see they are full of embedded metal and road grit
