So, being the 1st of the month I’m going to tax my new blade today! After staring at me in the garage for over a week I was hoping to get her out for a spin today! Been excited about it for ages until a drunk driver smashed her car through my front garden last night, now after the family commitments of the day looks like I’ll have to deal with that, instead of getting the blade out
Thanks buddy. Wouldn’t have been so bad as I said let’s sort it tomorrow. It’s that she came back in a right state trying to apologise. Seriously worried that she was trying to get to the main road. Could have been a person she hit. Makes me angry!
Going to try and get an hour in a bit later. Have a group ride Thursday evening and was hoping to have at least got my leg over before then
Unfortunate about the wall but at least they didn't end up in your front room!! Have you posted any pictures yet...... On another thread maybe I missed?
Glad nobody hurt and sorry about the wall - it could have been worse as they say. Hope plod threw the book at the driver
Probably because tax is charged for a whole month not matter when in the month you do it, so if you tax it in the last week you are paying for a month and only getting a week's use.
Well yea I thought that, but then also thought is anybody really that tight that they wont pay £7 to go out on their bike when the weather is nice?
I am tight! Haha with the misses away this last week I didn’t get chance to get out on it. I was going to go out on Saturday but I’m too tight to pay £7 for one days ride of a 20 mile loop (Billy no mates over her) Got out on her, had an hour out and have to say I didn’t realise the off would have such a knock on my confidence, on the way back got some back. First impressions were great, found a lot of differences to my old RR7, most noticeably for me the clutch, I found it a lot more sensitive to the hydraulic one I’m used to, so I was a lot more jerky with it. Major wrist ache within a mile until I started gripping with my knees onto the tank. The new disks and pads on the front meant the brake is sharper than what I’m used too. The bike feels small, almost like a 600 and the seat is comfy. All things I’ll get used too, and looking forward to doing. Like any blade the engine is smooth with lots of grunt, the thing I like best about the blades is the ability to poodle along at 30-40mph in 6th and not feel like I’m under working the bike. Only took her upto about 6k rpm but the noise and power... oh my! Didn’t get any pictures as it was getting dark will get some on my ride out to Krazy Horse Thursday though Only slight thing that’s annoying me at the minute is there seems to be some wear on the finish of the frame around where your legs are, almost like a slightly brighter or duller finish (can’t remember which one!) - is this normal? Am I being pedantic?
At least the car didn’t go through the garage and wreck the blade And why should you give the robbing government £7 for one day
Exactly mate. I would have been mortified if it had!! I don’t think I’ll have her out much this year now to be honest. The weather seems to have shifted a little. Tinkering in the garage is on the cards for winter though
A poor quality rolling shot (screen shorted from a video) from krazy horse meet last night. Trying to load more pictures but the file is too big. Add me on Instagram, mk3golfcab
