Best one was when I was at my unit on my old RR7, guy told me 6 times my light wasn’t working. Even after explaining that one is dipped beam and one is high beam! Although same guy did also comment on how clean the bike was for an L reg even after I had pointed out it was a private plate.

 

I had similar - a neighbour always said you've got a bulb out and I’d explain again and again. Then I got the loom mod to illuminate both with the high on reduced wattage (so appears similar to dipped). Neighbour says “see you finally got a new bulb” so I started to explain ........


Next time I saw him he said “Yeah, looks a lot better with that new bulb”. I just said “Yep, should have replaced it months ago” and not had a word out of him since.

 

Now this is really interesting...because I think I've only had it pointed out to me probably twice....and that's given the blades have been out nearly every day over the years...sooo do you think it's because I'm a woman and they just think...awww no point in telling a dopey bird...she won't understand anyway

 

Could be that you’re too busy with the spam fritters to notice what people are saying

Just been reading your comment about the headlight mod to get both lights working on dip - any chance you could share some tech details or links on how to go about it. Or is there another trail on here detailing it? Mine is the RR-E 2014 model.

EDIT - Scratch that, feel like a bit of a twat now but I found your detailed write up in another thread...the search function does work after all Thanks for the great info, I've already sent an email off the lad in Germany so hope I can get it done as good as you (or at least working hahahaha).

 

I have the mod as well
Really works well but I did adjust my beam alinement so as not to dazzle everyone( but I think my alinement was out anyway)
