Cleethorpes has a McDs. Sea View cafe at Mablethorpe does good bacon rolls and burgers. Free parking and biker friendly. Better roads going to Mablethorpe too, and the road from there to Cleethorpes allows spirited riding for when you need that Starbucks fix!

our opinions of good roads probably vary a lot, i havent got over corners i cant see the exit of yet

im certain death is just hiding there lol

What annoys me, is that on the way to skegness, i found it a lot harder than when riding home. i seem to get this quite often and it really annoys me

Not a bad "fear" to have. The way I go to Mablethorpe had lots of different bend types, some tight, some open, some blind, some combinations. Oh and some nice straight bits too.

I tend to do it early on the weekends as traffic is light and less Lincolnshire Constabulary around out in the sticks.

Route from Willingham Woods to Mablethorpe

When there's no traffic practice staying in one gear say 3rd and use the throttle to roll on a and off if tight bend then 2nd and use the revs more maybe your in to higher gear and you feel if the bike is taking you for a ride....

Well i do notice that higher gear does make it feel like its taking me for a ride. Glad you said that.

So i go in a lower gear and worry that ill flick the throttle and throw the back end out.

So, this is because when i try and put some throttle on, i cant make it smooth, it usually comes on in a step. I am getting better doing it so its smooth, its just getting used to the tiny movement to do it.

Im definitely getting better at it and its sort of like, does it matter if im enjoying it, no point getting stressed.

A little bit different to a spin out on the roads, but I took my fireblade out for some fun racing in the sunshine this weekend, great day out with some good battles.

    Mine is the middle fireblade.

Sounds like you may have a little too much play in your throttle cables. How far can you turn the twist grip from off throttle to it actually pulling on the cable?

nothing noticeable, i think its just me not being able to do it smoothly, today, its better, and again after a bit i do loads better.

the slightest twist when in neutral sends the revs up

Not today, but yesterday if that still counts - replaced the stock levers with the Gilles Tooling folding levers - with Titanium coloured knobs on !
