Sometimes, I will fit a pair of wasted track day sliders just to scare new guys who ride with my sportbike group..lol.
What would you say nigel if they only wore the Velcro on there leathers Are they trying to stick to the bike, And do you have elbow and shoulder pads and if so are you going to use them?
Did anyone else think the words 'spit roast' when they saw that pic of Di?? One way too get her knee sliders scuffed I suppose
I was thinking she possibly needed someone to help her with her riding. I would be happy to volunteer, being a rider coach and all.
There is a marked difference in the functionality of elbow and shoulder pads compared to that of knee sliders. The purpose of said elbow and shoulder pads, as you're probably aware, is to prevent/reduce bodily injury in the event of a collision or fall. Totally contrary to that purpose is the knee slider, which is a rider aid both for gauging the maximum 'safe' lean angle, and, on track, to add effective balance control when cornering. So yes, I do have elbow and shoulder pads in my jackets. I don't 'use' them, but they are ready for their purpose should the need arise. I do not 'use' knee sliders on the road because my riding style does not require them and nor do I reach such lean angles as to make them necessary. If on a track day, well, that's a different matter as the cornering equations are different.
Did anyone else think the words 'spit roast' when they saw that pic of Di?? One way too get her knee sliders scuffed I suppose I would say a well positioned knee slider could help prevent a shattered knee joint in the event of being T boned or the like! So for the road..... Hell yeah I wear even if it's just a bit of added protection
Ok so why we on the subject of sliders, bought a new RST race pro suit the other week which now has elbow sliders not sure if I should take them off as doubt I will ever get my elbow down at my age? However the Knee sliders are nicely worn
I have sliders on my leathers. Only ever scraped them on a knee down school and when I low sided at Blyton. Had them on because I wanted to, and also to keep the velcro from getting covered in crap thrown from the road. Ironically I was riding and making progress the other week when I remembered I had kevlar jeans on, and so I resumed my normal barely moving my buttocks cornering style As for elbow sliders, Moto GP riders seem to have shoulder sliders now, and I seem to recall Scott Redding getting his lid down just to prove a point!
You're fortunate. I'm surprised she's lasted. Your problem is that cos you haven't been on here for long is that you might not have twigged that Lozzy really IS Di. She's a whiz at Photoshop, you see. The proof is in the pudding. Out of 40 pages and 797 posts, only two of which have been posted by the elusive 'Di', there is NOT ONE photo of Lozzy and Di TOGETHER. Does that not arouse suspicion? Sure, there are fritters and hairy backs and Kelly Brook and pies and Nipsters, but no, no pic of Lozzy and Di. Right here in this forum, we could be uncovering all manner of deception. Could there be a suspect DWP claim arising out of this allegedly fictitious person? Might there be an insurance scam yet to be uncovered? Bigamy? Goodness me - the pit is bottomless. So Jimmy, just be aware that I've sussed the situation. Proceed at your peril!!
I hope you appreciate it lol... This adverts just popped up and not for 1 second did I think it was anything to do with you......nope....absolutely not
Ah....but if you're right Nige...and we are one and the same....it means some lucky guy will get 2 for the price of one....go to sleep with a brunette and wake up with a blonde
