I know, but I always have it in my mind what life would be like with no mortgage money going out every month.
I’d be after a CRF or KTM with both SM and MX wheels, used to ride a lot of mx in my teams so would like the option to do both! My budget isn’t great and I wouldn’t have a problem dropping the SM like I would the blade. Bikes like that can teach you so much about riding and bike handling in a safe, fun way! Lots of differing opinions! This makes it so much harder
My son has a ktm exc and I must admit when I took it out it gave me a big grin But at the mo it’s in bits with a blown engine
So after spending a few days trawling the classifieds for supermotos nothing in my budget screams out at me. The only things I can get in my price range are well used bikes or Chinese 125s. After a bit of love with the blade today I think I’ll put some upgrades on her and save up for a supermoto once I’ve got rid of my finance etc. Thanks for all the help lol
“Its the right time of year to buy and then sell next summer and make a bit luv” Worked for me to get my second
Just bear in mind all off road based supermotos are never going to rack up many miles. I work in a ktm and husky dealer. These things go pop or snap stuff for fun .(sorry sir competition machine you see.) If your mates have a supermoto yes go join in . If your going to race it yep do it . If it's just a road toy I would not bother. Upgrade the blade or buy track time for next year in the winter track day sale .
Sound advice there @Gravel trap I remember the breakdowns from my mx days so have decided to tart the blade up
Probably a shame there's no such thing as a cheap Africa Twin. I reckon they'd make a great all-purpose run around.
They're bringing out a baby AT I gather...700 to 800 cc to target the smaller gs etc market. Be cheaper than the full fat one. Although you can pick the big ones up second hand for good prices at the right time
I think its to go against the new tenere 700 and 790 adventure . Should be good I once had a right hoot on a dominator chasing my mate on an rf600 from Lincoln to louth in the early 2000s . The domi was a mate of my dad's I nearly bought it but my srad addiction was too high at the time .
