Fuurk that, I was switched at birth and must have came from way further South, Absolutely hate the cold. I wear a jumper and woolly hat in Africa!!! Nothing wrong with having a warm sporran to keep the frost away
Just seen this. My biggest piece of advice would be not to see a GP, when it comes to that kind of thing, their knowledge base is seriously lacking, this is not a dig, just a fact. If it is a sprain, a ligament, then it could take months to heal, as they have almost no direct blood flow. I had quite severe ligament damage in my right wrist, (fighting with 3 Russians), that took nearly a year to be pain free, and is still not as good as before. I can ask my friend at Loughborough if he knows any good sports physio types up your way if you'd like? (The average physio or oesto leaves a lot to be desired ime).
Thanks for that. Any referral would be a bonus as a hate flying blind into any service or product of any kind. After a few weeks of Ibuprofen Gel and 2 weeks absence from gym, it is neither worse not better. It is 'manageable' but infuriating. Having fought with three wives, I can relate to that. My ligaments are fine but the mental scars remain!
See, there's your problem mate. I've found the best course of action against three Russians is to tap one and two in quick succession and wait for #3 to decide if he wants to go left or right..trail, lead and take.
I'm thinking pots and kettles if your avatar is your actual photo. I have enjoyed health and fitness since my early teens and have never been been afflicted by debilitating injuries of any type. Sure, there's been the sprains and tears but nothing like this. My biggest fear is that it might be the onset of arthritis, despite there being no history of it in my family. Much of my life has seen many right-wristed activities (and I don't need the smart Alecs chiming in there) from mechanics through to Post Office sorting and supermarket nightfill. On that basis I guess I'm a candidate for RSI and carpal tunnel problems. Fortunately, with a bit of pre-ride stretching my throttle and front brake operation is unaffected - at present. If there's a physio solution I'll be pleased. Otherwise, well, I haven't thought of that yet.
As long as I can swing a leg over that'll do me mind you I have a knee problem at the mo and it's strapped up ......
