Agreed I could get the paint sorted but would prefer one that is immaculate with service book I have no doubt it will sell but I am not paying £3500 for it.

I think the service book might enhance a sale, but no make or break it. With the dozen or so bikes I've purchased over the past 2 years it has never prevented me from buying a bike. By the same token, it has not yet hampered a sale.

Strange thing about this is that I am super particular about having my 2018 service at the dealer and getting the book stamped. I guess this is one of those peculiarities where I acknowledge a stamped book as being of benefit to some:rolleyes:;).

Nigels advert would jump out at me more. The yellow blade looks to be a trade seller which would put me off. Something of that age I'd much rather find a private seller and hopefully stumble across a "Proper Nigel"

Yes, very good. I'd be right up for that if I didn't have one. The guy's probably a bit negotiable. As comparison, I paid £4100 for mine with original can and OEM pillion cover in box. Took the crash bungs off mine. Damn unsightly things they are and not needed in my lounge room:).

Charlie, I think Gary is drawing the comparison with my 954 not the RR4;)

He will take £4100 it looks really good in the pics , I am tempted but I have one more space in my stable and if I am going to get a 954 as a keeper I want it in white if paying top dollar.

We will all have our preferences of course. And these 'gems' seem to surface quite frequently. But I would always prioritise condition and mileage over colour. Different for me though because my extrovert side loves yellow.

But you've scored well with your other 'good' bikes so you're well versed in waiting it out. I am somewhat more impulsive - or is that impatient?:)

What happened to the white one you had? It wasn't a keeper?

It was never going to be a keeper it was cheap and an opportunity to make a few quid likewise on the silver 929 and Daytona 675 I basically came out 3k up so that was the sp1 funded by half.

Frig me. You're a better man than me, Spoons. Even I can't keep up with the guy. I forget he'd already had a white one! :D:D

Yep, saw that one. Another of your good pick ups. You might remember I nearly defected to a 2007 50th Anniversary, but sat on the fence for so long that I lost interest!!
