^^^ This is quite puzzling given that UK's unemployment rate is stable over the past year at 3.8% compared to its previous 4-plus percent. However, new home sales are down, but non-residentials are up. [Source HMRC] That supports positive business investment. But then, we have declining car (and motorcycle - down 2.1% on the year) sales in both the private and business sectors. Whether or not this is due to Brexit I do not know, but this is clear evidence of general reduced spending.
When I still worked in car sales I met some people who had had terrible deals but just signed up because of nice new car. Dealers would stack up the trade in and load end payment to get monthly where customer wanted it. When deal ends they haven't the 12k left to pay for a car worth far less . Pcp is great if you can always put down same deposit at end of deal to go to next model. I wonder how many are reaching end of deal and can not afford to do another hence sales slump. That and cars all have dab and nav now so why upgrade your 3 /4 year old car.
Very interesting, GT. In many ways I can see great value in some PCP deals - especially when one could pick up a deal like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2018-18-...845823?hash=item1a8654ac7f:g:8-0AAOSws65dnNhT However, you raise the very valid point of final payment versus final value, and that is perhaps where many buyers err; they over estimate the final value. I have been a cash buyer because my income would not support a finance contract and assets do not count. If I were still in the workforce, I could easily be encouraged to join the PCP brigade with hope that my low miles and cleanliness penchant would reward me at the end, or mid-way through the contract.
The car supermarket type places would value a trade in above its worth and tag it into the deal. Customer just thinks great these idiots haven't noticed how fucked my car is. Go back a few years if you drove a new car you were a high flyer . Most work car parks were full of 10 year old plus motors. Now the yt Kid rocks up in a new corsa and that fit young girl in admin a new up the colleage grad has a 3 series bm or Merc ect.
That's not scaremongering that's just stealers being super thunderc#nts instead of just thunderc#nts lol
Yeah that's bad. It's best just to wear them and pit them back clean I find. Err was good by a friend .
Now I'm confused after @Lozzy 's post. Is the 'vacs' for vaccinations? I'm sorta wondering if this guy is a tad creepy, the 'wash and vacs' might be for health restoration rather than car preservation!
Whats wrong with a good rifle through ladies knickers??? Nothing creepy with having a knicker fetish...lace, satin, lycra, ahahahaha
You do the shake and vac and put @Lozzy s knickers back do the shake and vac and put the knickers back . If lozzy are fresh than di s are too do the shake and vac because it's fun to do.
Just seen on one of the fireblade groups on Facebook that this bike now has a new owner. As the old saying goes, someone will buy it. Fair play to the guy, looks like an ace bike
