Hey Folks, Anyone had any experience with these Powerbronze Huggers? I'd like one that actually stops some of the road crud from plastering the back end but I'm not really wanting a carbon one... Anyone got something similar they want to move on?
You might still be able to get OEM for your model. I purchased one for my non-ABS 2011. Not sure what colours are available, but worth a check. Looks like this:
read some of the threads in the power bronze section. Seems to be many historical fitment issues with these
I've got an immaculate white oem Honda rear hugger like Nigels pic. It came off my SP. It's just sat in a box taking up room in my lady cave. If you want to spray it black you can have it for nothing... I'll take a pic when I'm home later
If @LRJimmy isnt interested Lozzy I’ll take it off you, aslong as the offer is transferable of course
This is it...looks massive in white but guess if you spray it black it'll look better. Should be easy to do and will certainly be better than the tiny one..
Thank you so much, will PM you some details but can't take it for nothing. I'm sure we can sort something out
Nice pic. I now understand why you took it off. Exactly why I removed my blue one and replaced it with carbon. Black will be fine @LRJimmy , it will not look quite so prominent, and it will sure do the job for you!
Yes I agree Nigel, it is exactly what i was after but not so easy to find with a quick Google search. As i’ve said from the start, it sure is a helpful crowd in this forum. Restores some faith in human nature
Thank you again @Lozzy I’m very much lost for words, but thank you!!!!! If you ever make it North into the barren lands beyond the wall (some Game of Thrones reference) then i might treat you to some of the local delicacies. Not deep fried Mars bars as i’ve never had them (a bit like spam fritters which i’d never heard of till coming here). But there is some good stuff here - no crispy seaweed but i make a mean Cullen Skink I’m sure with some gloss black it will be absolutely lovely on my tiger.
Given the colour of the surrounding swing arm and frame, I wonder if you might consider a test run with a satin paint first? Will also reduce the contrast between gloss black hugger and tyre.
Good shout @nigelrb I have gloss black under the tail which i thought would match in nicely but satin may make it blend better...i will try it and see with a tin of each myself then clean it off and get a pro to do it once i decide which is best.
