Like the R1 Lozzy in black but not sure about the blue wheels.
New Blade does look pretty good in black.
    Assume Repsol in 2021

I don't mind them at all. For me, it gives the bike a bit of a lift and adds pizzazz!

[Ooh, I hope 'pizzazz' isn't now one of your 'special' words;))

R1M is a good looking and sounding bike but what puts me off is the two people I know who have one reckon once you get a wriggle on and after rather spirited riding the oil in the rear shock gives up the ghost completely, now a fluid change for better quality oil may fix this but when your paying through the nose for something which is supposed to be a premium product you don't expect cheep oil and if they skimp there where else have they skimped on?

That must be the standard R1 then, the Ohlins shock on the R1M is fine

The USA market is weird. It is being released in USA in June 2020 but as a 2021 model.

I guess they want to think they're ahead of the game even though we get the bike in April!!

It is also reported that USA will get only the SP version and not the base model, ostensibly because they don't sell many CBR1000RR there (soon to be labelled as Fireblade in USA for the first time).

Yeah, I know they do models as a year ahead, but at 4:49 he says available June 2021 - just thought it was amusing :D

Are they track riders? If they're only riding on the road that sounds like wishful thinking to me. Have they tried making some adjustments?

To be fair they both do a lot of track days here and Spain ones an R1M the other a standard R1 both had similar problems with the rear shock, the guys at Maxton replaced the oil in both for better stuff and the change was immense apparently they weren’t the first to complain about this and have seen this on a few R1’s both standard and M models

Ohlins shocks and forks are filled with Ohlins own spec oil, and I reckon Ohlins know what they are doing so there must be more to it,
I've been a member on the R1 forum for many years and not heard about any particular issues with rear shock oil, so your mates must have just been unlucky

std R1 rear shock fine for road but they are a bit weak if lots of tracks days gone, I swapped mine out for a nitron gp, front forks still work very well

Hope they have the new blade at the bike show, wanting to see if 6' 1" can fit

As its reported as smaller than my current 2018 blade..... I've Already decided to change to a standard R1 in two years time.

Don't need an R1M although that would be great..... Value for money wise I think standard is the way to go. It'll have everything on it I need.

Will Probably pick up an old Honda to keep in the garage just so I can keep my finger in the pie ;)

Steady on Paulo. Sit on it and you might be hooked. The tank's only about 4mm or so lower, seat height higher but rider triangle supposedly the same.

Granted that when I sat on the R1 last week it felt just right. Like many, I prefer to sit 'in' a bike rather than 'on' it.

I'll give you a report after I've sat on the Blade at the NEC;).

You'd be on the mark about value for money. I think the R1 will be way cheaper than the Honda.

Well I’m definitely still in love with the latest build.... off the scale character with sublime chassis, motor and electronics.

However I still own a Honda...... Soon to be sold for a RSV Factory Tuono V4 2019 model.... OMG!! Everyone needs to experience one... seriously...Mega!

I still have a soft spot for the blade.... Especially the new one. But every time I swing my leg over a Jap 4 they all feel the same to some degree.... You can modify them like my previous blade and add some character and certainly some performance gains... but at what cost?.... If I’m spending that sort of money I’d want it to feel really special to ride, and to look at:D
