Ha! No need to correct you, Liam. You must have remembered one of my posts* from yonks ago where I mentioned exactly that! Sure, it would look okay with a C-- NSR, but yes, originality is key with this and the VF. *[If you didn't remember that post, you've sussed me really well!!]
You’re a man after my own heart Nigel. I have a great memory, however, it’s nowhere near as good as my wife’s....
Also managed to get some rare fairing screws with a massive head from David Silver. Great resource for those with older bikes:
Cheers. I got it in good nick 18 months ago now and don't do many miles on it. It's just one of those relics like Suzuki's RGs and Yamaha's V4s that hold their place in history and capture looks from those born after the 2-stroke era. It rides good and sounds ace with the tell-tale plume of smoke on start up letting everyone know why 2-strokes were banned!!
it does look nice, id like to add bikes, but the bf has this really unimpressed face every time i mention it. I have just bought new tyres for the blade though, and with a bit of luck, have found a car to buy at the weekend
Another detailing day before the rain threatened. Have to keep it up to scratch for my friend @PauloHRC
I thought I was going to post a reply saying there was a dirty bit...but it was on my screen Exceptional @nigelrb - even the stands are polished!!!
Bought some Sato street hooks off of our resident parts guy last night. An planning to have the anodise stripped and re anodised in titanium colour. May machine my own unique set too
Could be on a winner there. Always a demand for them and they cover a wide model range. Another opportunity you could get in on the ground floor would be the 2020 Blade exhaust hangar for non-pillion use. Not sure if it's a CNC job or straight out metal fabrication, but I would be a candidate. Would need to look like the R & G on my 954 in above post. 2020 has the crap unmodified pillion hangar with peg removed. Apologies for re-posting this pic: (Obviously I understand you'd need a bike (or hangar) to measure up)
