I've ridden a number of makes of bikes, Ducati, Kawasaki and Suzuki etc, fitted with the mass produced Brembo calipers and can't say they were really any better than the Tokico fitted to a standard blade, infact the GSXR brembo brakes were shite in comparison.

She & the others with her say pretty much the same as Raph...v aggressive position and expensive compared to other options. So I doubt it...plus she loves the sp she's got which was a fraction of the price!

Well I had a sit on it. Lovely bike but that riding position is as extreme as the R1...

Amazing how we differ. I posted this at the beginning of the month:

Guess I'll find out for myself. Getting impatient now; will probably go tomorrow instead of Tuesday.:D

When sat on the bike, see how much further you can bend your knee. In my case, almost no further. Then try the same on your current bike. There is quite a difference

My R1M was quite aggressive, rearsets and Helibars soon sorted it out

Just back from NEC. Still trying to unfold my friggin' knees:eek:. Holy crap, @raphael and @NS400R were bang on. What a tight fit. I haven't been so crunched up since I rode the back of Hamburgler at McDonald's a few years back!

I do have good joint, knee and hamstring flexibility, but this really was over the top - and I was approaching the bike with as much positivity as possible. I just can't see this bike being suitable for any rider 5'10" plus. I trotted around to the R1M, and while some say that is aggressive, it is very tame in comparison. Fortunately, the Triumph Daytona is a nice fit too.

Back to the Honda though, there were people climbing all over it left, right, and centre, including the imbeciles who scratch their shoes/boots over the rear seat and cowl. No doubt that the bike is a looker, but when walking around it becomes so obvious - as everyone has said here - that there's a heap of choice, and arguably better choice, for 23 and a half big ones. Same with the base at £19K. The 'Moron' black (Morion is the Honda colour:rolleyes:) looks very plain in comparison, but being mindful of the 'Black Vs Colours' thread, I'll say no more on that.

I did look at the BMW S1000RR but after being infected by @Wozza 's observations of excess plastics, I couldn't really look that favourably at the machine.

And right this minute I've gone into heart palpitations. Just got a call back from my local dealer. Been offered £2,500 for my RR4. I nearly slammed down the phone. Yes, I know they have to make money on the deal, but we're talking as a trade against £23,499 which must have a healthy margin, PLUS, they have the full-bore no discounted margin on the Daytona. Not bragging or big noting here, but that would be £40,000 of bikes within 2 months (March and April 2020). But then he had the audacity to say they'd need a deposit shortly as the bikes are coming in only in limited numbers! WTF? Of course they'll arrive in limited numbers cos no bastard will be able to afford them!!:rolleyes: They can eject their dealership into space and slide into Uranus. There is always options.

And while I'm on it, friggin' chips were £3.50 a bucket at NEC. Kicked that to the shitenhauser also.;)
