Was thinking of coming back onto a blade and was wanting to know if the 2019 SP's were a significant upgrade to the previous model ive seen some good reviews online about them but wasn't to sure. Are the gearbox issues a real thing as well? The other problem I can see is that the new one is coming out so that might affect the prices of the older versions if its the business. But saying that it might be mega money so I will help the older prices.
Seems we're looking into the same thing - the gearbox issues (a bag full of neutrals) from reading the threads Nigel so kindly posted into my thread are a consequence of tyre profile or sprocket changes affecting the quickshifter. Doesn't seem like it's a problem if you're prepared to run stock gearing and tyre sizes.
I have had 3 new shape fireblades, I have had two false neutrals but that was more down to me than the bike, lovely bikes my 2018 sp2 isn’t going anywhere
