Oh the bath isnt over yet . I gave it a rub over with a tooth brush and it brought loads of muck out. Fresh water and some Daz washing powder to eat into the mud again today . I'll keep doing this for a couple of days as its working so far.
Had an RR6 with an identical issue through 12 months a year riding and it was overheating, spent ages trying to clean it, but it was only a sticking plaster. Could not find anyone who would recore it due to both the curvature and fact it was narrower at the bottom than top. So finally took the plunge and bought a new rad, fooking expensive is not an accurate description, then low and behold 2 weeks later it got nicked never to be seen again.
Bloody radiator mount on sump has snapped took sump off its been resin welded before. I'll clean up and try a propper weld .
Wish I had all that space...I'd be able to walk around thinking of all the things I am unable to do even though I have the space to do it
Wish I had it too. But for me it has that 'homely' feel with the kitchen cabinets! Is Mrs GT's bike in there also?
exhaust a right mess I know haptic cleans them up but I think that only works once and fecks the pipes coating so they rust up quicker so I've done 3 hours with green scour pads so far.
Yep, great result. I've used the same process after Harpic on a couple of older bikes. I've also used steel (aluminium) wool instead of scourers for the initial scrub but not sure whether steel wool might leave scratch marks on the newer titanium pipes.
I’d get a good coating of acf-50 on them now mate even just to make the cleaning process easier next time
