Hi guys, was wondering where the washers go for the street hooks on a non abs 2011? Any ideas or guides? Can’t seem to find anything other than they bolt where the pegs were (obviously) no mention of the washers though?
I remember something to the effect that they are used when you attach the pillion pegs themselves. It was a question raised in a thread a few months ago. Cos I'm on desktop I'll do some searching.
See post #5. It's actually a reply to your own friggin' question!! https://www.1000rr.co.uk/threads/street-hooks.38362/#post-510890
Yes as far as I'm aware the spacers/washers are used when you decide to re attach your pillion pegs! Have fun..... Its a bitch of a job if you choose not to split your subframe
I’m halfway there, if I split the subframe what else do I need to take off? Got the tail, under tray and lock off at the minute. If I don’t split the subframe how do I go about it?
I tried and found it near enough impossible without splitting the subframe, it's easy enough to do, just do one side at a time
Just the rear end really, everything back from the battery tray, can leave the battery tray in place if doing one side at a time
Will I need to remove the rear hrc undertrau? The fairing bit? Because the rear two screws look like a right ballache to get too
Fairly sure I removed mine, although I was flying blind. I seem to recall it made the job tons easier to finally get to the hangar bolts.
Apologies, I'm resurrecting a slightly dusty thread.... but marginally better than starting a new one i suppose! I'm looking for a set of these street hooks. @mk3golfcab Are these A) the Sato Racing street hooks or B) replicas that you ended up machining up? And therefore two questions: if A) did you manage to find a UK stockist/importer of them? US postage and import duties seem steep... if B) By any chance did you machine any other sets and have a price in mind for them......? Haha i couldn't help but notice the link to the thread where you were gauging interest! Cheers! Toby
I got mine off the guy in this link....a few off the forum did. Great price and quality...might be worth contacting him if Liam can't help you out https://www.1000rr.co.uk/threads/uk-made-racing-hooks-sato-replica.34947/
I got mine from vicster on here mate second hand then had them stripped and reanodised. I didn’t make any as I couldn’t be bothered lol, I don’t think there was a lot of call for them at the time, I only paid £30 for my set so wouldn’t even save me much if I did then passed them on.
