You might have missed my post. Bought this on the 24th.

One owner, 4400 miles. Totally mint. Gets delivered 14 Jan:D:D

Just realised. Did you mean an SP-1? Nup. I'm in restraint mode:).

Are you still having the daytona and the new RRR SP!? Is there anything you're having to shift?

Yes, Daytona might be this Saturday if dealer can prep it in time. RR-R SP Is April, but you might have read that I've already P/Xd the RR4 for that. Think I'm about set now:D:D, but @gary1966 keeps getting ahead of me.:(

No. You after some of my harem?

I might let you have the NS. I'll send it via Hermes!!:D:D

Guess you won't be holding your breath!

[For those who won't understand this, Charlie sent me a parcel 12 months ago that Hermes 'lost' (their words). Tracking showed it was in their depot, they denied it, but some weeks later it turned up - in their depot!! They returned to Charlie rather than me. There was a few weeks of backwards and forwards emails with the usual corporate denial and deflection]

Fun. Totally different to what we're used to with the Blades.

Nice seating position and a good handler, BUT very peaky as to where power is available. If you want to enjoy spirited riding, you must be prepared to keep them buzzing at 7 - 8500 revs otherwise they just bog down.

Perhaps most of us, including @NS400R keep these relics for the fun and nostalgia value rather than as a 'daily ride'. Not a bike to make money on, but they at least hold value and should be able to sell for the purchase price. I give it 3 stars in my Pension Plan!:D

The 400 is a lovely bike to ride. As Nigel says, a sweet handling bike as standard. I would not have described it as being peaky as Nigel, but then I grew up on strokers. My son's CBR500R monsters it on roll ons, so I guess it us peaky. I like it so much, I took it to the Dolomites this year instead of the SP. Didn't miss the SP at all even riding with a 1290 Duke.

    :eek::eek::eek:

    You're hooked!

    Didn't miss the SP?

Now I'm all for heaping accolades on any model of Honda, but you gotta do some serious self-evaluation:D. Even putting those two bikes in the same sentence is like comparing dates with Susan Boyle and Cameron Diaz!:);)

Now let's see. The NS was a successful racer, the SP;)

It depends if you're all about horsepower or just enjoy riding a nice bike quickly whatever its power. I often take the NS to the TT.

On the subject of rocking horse, I'll leave these here. Not cheap, but rocking horses aren't

I can't handle those who cut rear original fenders. Was done on my RR4 and I purchased an original at a good price. Fortunately my 929 is orig and it appears the new VTR SP-2 is untouched also.

If I ever need a red tank, I'll keep you in mind @gary1966 .:D
