Would it be wrong to mention that the bike number engraving looks a lot different from the total number, or is it just a trick of the light?
Different to what I was told, I asked if I could hold fire for a few weeks to try and sell my part ex privately, dealer said we need this one gone in this sales month but if you want to wait we have more coming in February from where I don’t know? Might be like the sp2 they couldn’t sell them in Europe so a few extra came here that’s how I got my sp2.
Oh oh the hokey cokey, oh oh the hokey cokey.. (Only makes sense if I've correctly remembered that you'd original ordered one and then changed your mind..? I'm a bit of a fool otherwise for which I can only apologise! I've only done the first part - put deposit in, took deposit out..)..
Might want to get those Norton factory visits in whilst you can. Things don't smell right with them if you ask me, huge delays on models, looking for money through crowdfunding and now a huge unpaid tax bill. Not exactly the signs of a company flourishing.
Erm...they certainly look nice and sound amazing. Not sure I'd trust in the bike or the manufacturer backup that much to ride it any great distance though. When MCN rode the V4 I was gobsmacked by the graphics on the TFT display, looked like a Sega mega drive. The super rich who buy them to put under their spiral staircase alongside a Steinway grand piano probably don't care how reliable they are though.
Looks lovely Nigel how did it feel riding it back? What tank pad are you getting carbon? What does the exhaust sound like?
Very nice. I considered picking up a mint used Daytona 675R before I bought the Street. I found the smoothness of the engine and throttle response a nice change from the Blade.
I have owned countless new Triumphs 3 x 675R and have gone straight out at 5000rpm more to scrub tyres in 75/100 miles then that’s it , then it’s up to about 8000 until 300 miles then max 10000 until the 1st service. My street triple 765RS I done the same 500 miles it went on track in the fast group and I am now on 3500 miles 2000 of those on track runs a treat.
I asked about that and the dealer just said get 100 miles on it, then we'd recommend not constantly wringing it out at the top end until the first service.
Talking of tank labels they couldn't fit a any more on the tank if they tried....never have seen so many....no doubt you we leave them on but I would have had the dealer get them off and the front fork reflectors ....nice bike but I can't think they could of done better with the front end,,,,should of been more Moto 2 design like R1 or R6 design
Come on Nige, it needs a bloody good clean to get to our standards. You could have baby wiped those tyres.
