Ok, given my post on the blade vs ZX6R appears to put forward good points for getting a blade, am i being unrealistic to try and find a Repsol Blade on a 10 plate for £7,500 ? Not bothered about ABS. I have seen a 10 plated Suzuki GSXR1000K9 with mega low miles and lots of extras at a dealer for that price.... are the blades that much more.
I saw a K9 gix thou with 3000 miles go for £5800 around Christmas and one for £6300 with more goodies on not long ago, why specifically a 10 plate?
An 11 plate would work fine, but thats why i was looking for a 10 plated one, to keep the costs down and its all i really need given a 10 plated Repsol (which i assume will be an RR9) and an 11 plate will be the same bike.
you just missed a 2 month old 2011 plate with 161 miles on it on ebay (it is still on mcn clasifieds if you want to see what you missed.) i was toying with buying it as it was £8150 , but even that is too much in my eyes as you can get one from a dealer for £9000 , i am not the only one to think so as it took a week for it to sell. just look under completed listings on ebay ,there are hardly any bikes that actually sell or meet their reserve. it is definatley a buyers market if you have the cash. there is a mint 2007 fireblade in repsol with less than 1000 miles for £5000 on pistonheads ,that has been on for a few days too.
I am a cash buyer but i want the new shaped blade really, not the RR7. My bike has only gone today so now rush, the Gixxer looked nice but a Repsol blade would be better.
I bought my 08 model in 2010 with extras for £6100 and it was / is totally mint so I would say a definite yes.
That sounds a decent deal but i had £7.5k as a max, if i pm you with my email address could you post any pics (if you have them of course). Repsol is my first choice, but if a decent priced HRC or the black/white blade came up then i certainly would look at it.
That is stunning, the right miles, condition, at a dealer etc etc, with some nice extras..... but its not a 10 plate, for my private plate to work, it has to be 10..... but really nice anyway.
i have been to look at the bike at the dealers on ebay as it is not far from me (also looking for a repsol blade) the tyres are worn out and it has some corrosion on bare metal brackets as though it has seen some winter riding. i have seen better for the money. (in fact i bought one just before xmas for £7500 but got my money back from the dealer ,as they were totally bloody useless . never rung me back and totally cocked up my order.) robinsons of rochdale if anyone wants to know . totally disgusted with their customer service.
