Really? I certainly don’t feel gutted and pretty sure the other 764 new owners don’t? I new I wasn’t getting a moto2 bike this is a road legal euro 4 compliant bike with Daytona 675r fairings that cover a slightly bigger engine.
So @nigelrb did you go out on a long ride yet? Weather's shocking in this part of the country and has been for weeks now. My local Honda dealer had the cheek to say my chain looked like it needed a good clean and re-oil.. I've been doing this religiously every bl@@dy weekend since late October before the rains came..!
@nigelrb must be seething, all that time spent on a pre order list and you’ve got a lower numbered bike at the last minute Gary!
Welding is spot on the snotty nosed teenager didn’t build mine by the looks of it ha ha Lower number and placed order last week two a Penny these bikes
It’s like a mirror with me mate, I have all sorts of strange OCD things, like my car stereo only being on a multiple of 5... symmetry is another one, I struggle to own a car with one rear fog light or reversing light. Even though I can’t bloody see it when I’m in the car! How did you get on with triumph? Any response?
Sounds to me like they didn’t sell as many as they though If you can order one and get it in a couple of weeks. I think I’ll stick to my blade
It’s down to people cancelling there order the one I got today was because a guy pulled out the day the dealer called and told him the pdi had been done when would you like it , he didn’t ha ha. I was told recently that it’s been split 255 Uk 255 euro 255 USA/Asia
They definitely sold in the uk base on deposits taken but I think a few have cancelled but there’s a reserve list?
Mine was a cancelled order there definitely won’t be more than 765 world wide, but if they don’t sell in Europe etc don’t be surprised if a few more are sent our way.
Congratulations on the bike @nigelrb..... You must be chuffed, or I hope you are! Didn't even know you'd got it tbh, I'd of started a new thread for it....... I stopped looking at this one ages ago
Looks stunning Nigel, if there is one gripe, same gripe I had with the old 675 is the seemingly extra long front end just looks out of proportion, is it me or do you think similar .
It's also something I pointed out in the early days of this thread. The front end is huge and looks exactly like the old 675. Its a beautiful bike..... But while other manufacturers are are incorporating headlights into say, the air ducts creating the illusion that they're hidden, Triumph have stuck with the old two big head lights! on a Moto 2 replica! I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you're making a Moto 2 rep...... At least make it look like one In no way am I trying to piss on your parade Nigel...... I just can't get my head around the lack of 'change' in the design
