Brave freezing on the costa del South.....salt everywhere....mines staying under the cover,,,,push bike instead at the min...
Got the SP seat cowl delivered (thanks @Ian E ) and decided to get it on before covering the ol girl up again. Never one to disappoint the ladies I snuck a sneak peak of my pipe for lozzy too
Today me and Tigger went for a run in a van 400 miles round trip of 3 and a half hours each way but she got a dyno run and had 157 horses inside. After the Woolich remap she now has 163 at the back wheel. As I still have a Cat he couldn’t disable the fuel shut off or Lambda sensor but offered to cut the Cat out at a later date and weld in a new piece of pipe then adjust the map for free. The welding would need paying for though but reckoned it would easily go above the 170 with the Cat out. At the end of the day the aim is to get it smoother from a fully closed throttle so just need a dry day to try her out Any thoughts from the forum gurus??
I doubt very much I will notice that extra 6 horsies as my one is never anywhere near her potential, I just hope the snatchy throttle has been smoothed out, it was a real pain trying to go back on it and try to feed it in gentle without giving it heaps...
I know, never ends does it? I was thinking quickshifter next...but now I'm thinking new headers with no Cat...or get the Cat cut out of the headers I have?? It's just a bit of a cu*t that the Cat is in the headers after 2014... Pussy's - bloody bane of my existence
Tbh I'd leave it be rather than chuck another 150 plus the big round trip at it. I had the cat off my 11 plate but it's still there on the 16's. Running at 166 and 168 rear wheel and both as smooth as silk. If yours is smoother with this remap I'd put the money towards a QS...it'll be far more fun than a few extra bhp; )
Thanks Loz. The BHP doesn't concern me as the whole point was just to get it smoother. I'm too chicken to wind it all the way back as the fear keeps that bit in check The tuner guy said that it will be smoother than it was but the biggest gains for smoothness also have the net result of increasing overall power as the restriction in the Cat is and fuel cut out is what causes the snatchy-ness (not a word I know) in the first place. Anyways, like you say if its smooth with what's been done so far then its the quickshifter, then new tyres, then.....??? LOL
I'm doing a Nigel In fact, the one with the chain adjustment picture has one corner lifting...it's only about a millimeter if that, but I was wondering if I should get a new sticker, hahahaha
