Evening guys, I have a pair of Sato racing hooks already fitted and looking to attach oem pillion hangers to them with titanium bolts I've purchased. Possibly a daft question but as the bolts are threaded and so are the holes on the Sato racing hooks, will I need nuts aswel for the bolts? Many thanks Jamie
Do you mean street hooks? You won’t need nuts but you may need 4 spacers that fit into the holes on the hangers.
Possibly their made by a company called Sato Racing. The bolts are a good fit, just wasn't sure if they would be secure enough without a nut is all.
I wouldn't think nuts are necessary. Just make sure they are tight and check them after a few rides out.
You shouldn’t need nuts as the holes are threaded m8. My hooks didn’t come with the washers so I turned some up at work then had them anodised the same colour as I had my hooks done. I’ve trial fitted my pegs and there’s 2 different size washers (one for each hole) iirc 12.5mm and 10.5mm? I’ll see if I can find a picture of mine
Did you make these street hooks yourself? I've bought some spacers to go with my bolts. Bolts are m8 x 40mm hex titanium and m8 20mm spacers. Thanks Liam
Bought the street hooks and was going to make a set but decided to strip the black anodise and have them re anodised in titanium colour
