Example: We went to lunch with a client - the guy was very into his cars, he had a new Ferrari on order, and he was also into collecting and drinking his Whiskey. To me that was a result - a free lunch at a nice restaurant talking about Ferraris, listening to his stories about F1 and visiting Ferrari, and about some of the prices of collectable Malt Whiskey - all this with a full glass and a huge stake on my plate - RESULT ! My superior saw it differently, with a tinge of bitterness and envy. Does he think we can afford £5,000 bottles of whiskey and VIP treatment. We got back to the office and he moaned that the guy had just talked about himself showing off how rich he was. There you have it - communist ideology in action.
I tend to find jealousy is much on the beholder. To me, personally, I don’t care what people think of me. Most people on here probably think I’m a twat, and that’s fair enough! I do what makes me happy, I’m never going to please everyone, and that’s why I talk bikes alllll dayyyy long at work with all my colleagues who don’t like bikes. It makes me happy. F**k the haters. Great story @Mattie660, I would have thought that was an awesome client meeting too and would have loved it. Different strokes for different folks and all that. We’re all here for one thing though, that unites us all (no, not @Lozzy @LRJimmy ) and that’s bikes, big, small, fast, slow who gives a damn as long as it has two wheels I’m game!
Calm down everyone....he'll be back.. He's just on a slow learning curve for life's lesson of not giving a f#ck and taking things with a pinch of salt... He was battered quite severely in the Downvotes episode but back he toddled
I don’t think he will be. I spoke to him yesterday and he was pretty certain he was done to quote “if there is no enjoyment and I have to be on guard, I'd rather just not be there.”
At the end of the day it's a forum and the other guy made a comment which was his own belief and he's perfectly entitled to do. Nigel gave his reply. What is the issue with that? Perhaps a public forum isn't the place to be then if you can't accept criticism...whether you feel it is warranted or not.
That about sums it up. Nigel isn't shy about expressing his opinions so why shouldn't others feel free to express theirs. There's enough bubble wrap and cotton wool deployed elsewhere in the world if you want a "safe place." This isn't a particularly harsh forum, in fact I would say it is far from that end of the spectrum, but that doesn't mean people don't have the right to call someone a twat, disagree or extract the urine etc.
to quote “if there is no enjoyment and I have to be on guard, I'd rather just not be there.”[/QUOTE] That also works the other way @mk3golfcab, it anyone has to watch what we say incase feelings are hurt then it’s probably best for all concerned that he’s not. There’s no malice on here and like @Lozzy would say, just take the piss back and move on.

It’s what makes us unique!
