    See Freddie Spencer's bike had the conventional forks and not the electronic Ohlins o_O

    I think he said Freddy Foray and Freddy Spencers bikes were also SPs but for the day they were dressed in black?

    Dont think they brought any standard Blades to the event.

    I was looking purely at the colour of the forks on the 2 black bikes. One were gold and the other were black. The first red bike he goes to is a standard bike also.

    It is for the track.....not even going to bother testing one......revs right up there and sat on top of it......looks like the Italian route next....

    Surprisingly quickshifter option for the base model 2020 cheaper at £525 via the configurator.

    Also for those interested, higher windscreens are available in clear or dark as well as a different seat

    Bargain then 20k for a standard one then £525 on top.....you would be off your nut to pay that for one,,,,and then £100 plus for a screen.....£200 seat cowl.....V2 15k.....BMW m sport 19.7k R1M 22k V4s 24.5k in true dragons den speak "I'm out"

    Even std R1 2020 is only £16.5k and comes with QS as standard , Honda pricing is bit over the top i feel?

    Expensive and fast !

    All you track day riders will know better than me - but 299 kmh limit - in 5th gear - with still about 1,000 revs to go before the red line. It seems to rev really easily - just watching the revs climb - doesn't half get through the revs.:eek:

    It will be interesting to see what it can do in a standing quarter.

    Actually its more like 299 at 12,700 - 2,000rpm down. Looks like he is short shifting 4th each time, so the bike is labouring to pull higher in 5th.

    That may be the first indication you will HAVE to ride this bike like a 600 to keep it on the boil and shift in the nose bleed region all the way to the top of 5th, otherwise your buddy with the Ducati V4 is going to drill past you on the top end.

    No more relying on the notorious CBR mid-range to get way with short shifts like that.

    On the upside that Torque Management was working overtime to keep the rubber side down.

    But I am intrigued by the hazards flashing under heavy breaking - I don't believe I have ever noticed that before.

    Some track based reviews are out from Visordown and Bennetts.

    Both mention all the power in the high revs and the much more aggressive seating position.

    Everything else sounds fantastic, especially the suspension options!

    It could fly to the moon but it's still to small.......I still think on track Redding #45 will be on it in wsbk ...

    It can probably pootle around quite well as a road bike, keeping it in the lower revs and changing gear before it starts to rev. My 2015 Blade was like that - it would pootle along mild and gentle as anything until about 6,000 I think it was - then it was down to business and gentle play time was over :D

    Incidentally - about the indicators flashing - that may be a new safety requirement for road vehicles, that they flash their hazard lights in the event of sudden hard braking situations. This is to help avoid pile ups on motorways where everyone crashes into the back of everyone else because they cannot tell someone has stopped. I have seen cars with this feature already on French autoroutes.

    My 2010 car turns the hazards on when I jump hard on the brakes. One guess how I found that out :eek:

    Well that nonsense doesn't fly here. Hazard lights are for indicating your car is a stationary hazard, not make shift emergency police running lights.

    That crap has no place on a 'track focused" bike.

    They could save your life on a british motorway quite easily. Standard of driving is diabolical, I'd be grateful of them on the road. They'd annoy the hell out of people on the track though.

    The hazard lights are located on the licence plate plate holder and mirrors. Both of which are removed by 99% of track riders.
    I guess some models had them kept in place for the event.

    Also, it's the same on my S1000R (and likely the RR).
    May also be an European regulation to have that option

    Yes the s1000rr does it I was chasing one down last summer it was even annoying me as you get behind it and the bike is in front slamming the brakes on it puts you of making a move because it looks like Hazard lights....not a fan on bikes but on cars makes sense..
