Ok, so here it is, the bike that will (hoepfully!!) propel me into the world of club racing in 2012. Bought as an average spec bike originally built by Craig Fitzpatrick out of spares from his 2 BSB Evo bikes, as soon as i got back from the 700 mile road trip picking it up i started to strip it of un needed parts. Main thread updates will come tuesday / wednesday when my boxes of goodies arrive from our own Racespares Mark. Heres some initial pics..... remember those trick shocks..... Mmmmmm Akra... BSB 'Evo' Spec Motor Flash dash... Shift-Tastic Titanium captive spacers...
I am sure that is gonna be one awesome bike Craig, love the shock. How long will it take you to get it done ?
I'm sure it will look the bollocks when its finished, hope you can produce some serious podiums finishes when the season kicks off
I am in awe of your technical ability Craig, good luck with the build and the results on track. I Will be following your progress.
Benn, the shock on it when i bought it has already gone, replaced by this one, Exfire, hopefully done by saturday, depending on paint, Barmby, id love to think that, but 2012 is firmly a learning year, there are faster folk than me on here.... (ahem, Bongo....) Matt, funnily enough ive already been offered 8k for it when finished.
What sorta power would you expect from the Evo motor? Would you be looking at 180bhp or more? Looking forward to the build, good luck.
Progress report. Spaghetti Junction...the story of last night, modifying the stock loom to let the reg/rec sit on the opposite side it did, and need a longer neg cable for the battery. awaiting delivery of my PCV then i can fit that & the HM Shifter and crack on with getting the bike over to Totally Dynamic Lincoln to have the seat & tank cover wrapped. then its final touches and done.
Does the sub frame not fit on the back Craig sorry sh@t jokes aside do you have to get a HRC sub frame to fit track fairings, I have never fitted them before ? Can't wait to see the finished pics, did you get the pcv second hand or new in the end ?
you dont HAVE to have a subframe, but i have 'Superbike' bodywork so need it to fit that. superstock bodywork uses stock subframe etc. As for PCV, i bit the bullet and bought one new in the end, 255 quid delivered, just had a map sent to me that was originally done for this motor by JT's, so that will be going in.
Thats a good price bought mine for £265 at least you know its in good nick and you have a warranty, good news about the map saves a few quid and time getting it there and back. Thanks for the info on the fairings, never thought about wrapping them before what a great idea and cheaper as well, I am sure you and the bike are going to do well this year, good luck fella
Check out your local franchise of Totally Dynamic, they are the UK's number 1 vehicle wrappers, incase anyone missed it, heres a couple of pics of the Tyco honda and lee jacksons rs125 that they wrapped for the final bsb round of 2011, it was my very good friend Perry who wrapped those... http://www.britishsuperbike.com/ima...ight&valign=bottom&overlaymargin=5&format=jpg
