Whilst i appreciate the fact most dudes have never worn them i am going to buy some new gloves this weekend and need to know the honest opinion of the difference between Alpine Stars GP Pro and the gp tech. I know the price differance and the must have factor because they are the latest ,but what about fit / feel/ comfort/ extras/ ect. Please reply only if you have had both sets.Thanks.

Pro will be comfier straight away I reckon as they're softer IMO I've got the gp tech and they take longer to break in but are a tougher glove slightly higher spec glove, mainly bought for track for me but to be fair after a couple of days wearing them in and your hands sweating they'll soon soften up. I think either will be ok but do be careful buying the GP pro off eBay, a lot of them last year were fakes as I was going to get some as a 2nd pair and at least twice I got an email off eBay after bidding on pairs saying they pulled auctions due to counterfeit measures etc, however not all of them will be on there so don't be too concerned but it's worth checking out the seller first.
I bought mine just to have the big plastic cuffs like the BSB and WSB riders have . Plus they match the red plastic cuffs of my boots After wearing them i would not get any other gloves on the market . People have said they don't last but mine are 2 years old now and have done a lot of miles and have no signs of damage anywhere . The only marks are on the throttle hand where the velvet has been roughed up on the palm . 10/10 for looks and performance IMO
I take it you'll be popping into J&S for these.....While you're there, try on the Arlen Ness too. The GP Pro's have factored into what gloves I buy this year, but the issue I've had with them is that they don't make gloves big (wide) enough for my shovels and I really dislike the plastic wrist cuff because it hits the back of your hand when bent back (but that might be that the XXL gloves don't fit 'perfectly) For me, I'll be buying some Knox Handroids. Same money, made from 'roo rather than 'moo and no limit to the rothation of my wrists.
Handroids are mint mate, I have had Alpinestars amongst others, before the droids, best fitting glove I had were Berik, very supple! The droids are amazing, fit, comfort etc, I wouldn't buy anything else at the moment!
I picked up some Handroid Pods at the MCN show last week, which have the shorter cuff than the standard Handroids for the same reason as viper listed - they hit the back of my hand when in throttle-on position. Looking forward to using them on a decent ride now. I usually go for astars, so am keen to see how these fare.
my gp pro's took forever to break in and become comfortable (sp2's were comfortable straight away)... next gloves will most likely be handdriods.. tried them on and they feel good .. and the securing system seems to work really well put off by some reports of the cables popping off the fingers.. and wish they did a all black glove
