Has anyone fitted an alarm to their 17-19 fireblade? I am a bit unsure how to wire in the indicators as the alarm will output 12v to flash them and the indicators on the bike come from an indicator module so don’t want to connect alarm wires to indicator wires as this will send 12v to the module. Each indicator is individually wired from the module so i need some way of making the module flash the indicators. any ideas? Cheers
Not what you’re looking for as a response I’m sure but personally ...............I wouldn’t fit one unless the insurance absolutely insist on one (even then I’d be looking for another insurer who didn’t). Normally makes next to no reduction in premium, they knacker your battery and cause all kinds of problems if/when they go wrong.
Sorry I'm just too stupid to understand half of what your saying. Apart from washing and waxing I usually get a man to do it for me or maybe I suffer from lazy arse ittus Hope you get the answer.
I want it as more of a deterant really not for insurance purposes. I didn’t think my question was that bad.....LOL There must be someone on here with this knowledge
I'm sure it's not and someone can hopefully give the answer you need. As far as indicators though I was freaked out when I spotted them staying on all American style....WTF....it doesnt take much
Yeah is a bit strange to get rid of the separate DRL and keep the indicator on dimly. Atleast you can’t see it while riding...
As long as you split the line and put a diode in each line it would be fine, or just not have the indicators flashing
Oxford Screamer disc lock about £30/40, has a deterant, not worth buying alarm as it only about £15 per annum cheaper ... Or a Macclesfield Screamer aka as a "Lozzy" for a fiver
