But I guess that's the thing right. When Honda finally pull their head out off their arse and heed what Ten Kate have been saying - we need better tech, Honda take the new tech and then piss all over the very people that kept the torch lit during the lean years. Think how much further ahead the program would have been if they had simply switched the hardware with Ten Kate. I will lose no sleep if the RR-R racing program is a dud. Bautiste may end up regretting jumping ship - unless he feels the money is worth more than a championship LOL
I agree they could have stayed with those very people who supported them when the bike was struggling. However I wouldn't want the honda race project to be a dud as I really want a min of 3 manufacturers to have a real chance of winning as that gives the very best racing and the very best riders rise up and start to become greats. Remember these Edwards and bayliss Rossi and biaggi Rossi and gibernau Hodgson and walker When a rider can dominate too easily it just loses something........I think this next season could be very close. Honda all new bike Yamaha werent too far away Suzuki gaining fast Ducati already challenging kawasaki Bring it on
Erm have I missed something?? Suzuki not been in WSBK for a long time now mate! They should come back though..... More the merrier
Absolutely right. My mind was thinking along the lines of the Bsb and huge improvements in moto gp. With their variable valve timing and rumours of a ten kate link up , who knows. In any event I cant see Jonny getting to dominate so should be interesting.
That was a nasty video aimed purely at pissing us brits off with your sunshine while we look outside at 60mph winds horizontal rain, and general overall crappiness. Thanks
But it was a cool wintery eve with chilly 20* temps that meant I could not get hooligan with the throttle like on a summer day
20° is a nice summers day here and that is many months away yet. I Will just have to pratt about until the weather gets better Your bike is looki g good
I'm not so sure about that, my jury is still out. My take was that Bautista embarrassed some of the established at the start of last year so we know he can still ride. However he started to ask questions of ducati about him wanting to take development in one direction (the feel from front end) and ducati saying no we dont need to you are winning and the bike is good and so the seeds of a split were born and it was only a matter of time. Now let me say this is just based on what I've read so could be bollocks or could have some depth. I believe it has some element of truth as Chaz was struggling yet Bautista was riding off into the sunset all the time saying the bike is good but not great and he was working too hard to achieve his results. It all reminded me of the honda rossi split. The manufacturer claiming the bike is all things great and believing any rider can achieve the results. Once a riders input is dismissed as important and not essential you've lost that rider. Remember honda saying they will destroy rossi when he left? Well I remember rossi winning that fight so yeah I still think Bautista may have something in him and may have a point to prove.
A couple videos of he track prep progress Track shake down is coming soon. The SP2 WSBK Built in a shed had a chance to stretch her legs for the very first time. Total mile son the motor is just over a 100 miles now. And a quick run almost to redline just for the hell of it.
Getting round to putting the icing in the cake this week... Ten Kate Redbull WSBK motive power it is then... after all, if you are not fast with the stock bike, just keep turning up the gas until the its too hot to handle then you have a new excuse to use
Red Bull Motor Number 1809 is Installed & Alive! * And got a final dry weight (until we shave a few more pounds off) 365lbs / 166kg * Now to calibrate QS/Autoblipper and get the bike on the dyno. *
I just put woodcraft rearsets and clip ons on my bike. I took it for a spirited ride and everything was great for the 1st hour. Then the abs light started flashing and the bike died. I tried starting it but the battery sounded dead and the dash went out. So I tried push starting it. It would come on for a second and die. While I was waiting for my wife to pick me up I noticed the rear master cylinder was loose so I tightened it. The bike started went 50 feet and then died again. I got the bike home charged the battery road it around the block and the check engine light was off. Then the abs started flashing again and the bike died. The only thing I changed which could be the culprit is I got rid of the kick stand sensor, but it did find with it missing at a recent track day. I also changed the brake light sensor with a woodcraft banjo pressure sensor switch. I did not change the brake fluid when I did this however the brake still felt firm. Could a small bubble do this? Anyway if you guys know what this could be, any help would be greatly appreciated. If it's the abs I would prefer to do with out this. I have 3 abs fuses however when I pull one the bike either doesnt work or the dash shows a giant check engine light. I would eventually like to run direct lines and do away with abs altogether. PLEASE HELP
