“Look, vot bit you not get?? Im sitting there going vrooooom, vroooooom, vrooooom and the front is coming up. Zem vinglets no workie!”
I really want Scot Reading to do well.....at least he has a personality....enjoy his updates....also on Moto GP the film on BT sport unlimited mm93 was a good watch....made me like him as a person
There is a write up and results of FP1 at Phillip Island - shame it was spoiled by heavy downpour of rain. Anyway, keen to see how the new Blade got on....
Eurosport coverage absolutely gash as usual, superpole starts with them riding out of pitlane, no introduction, no build up!!
Very close race, enjoyed that, all the bikes look close, Honda looks good, should be some great racing this year, hopefully, looking forward to race 2 now
Agreed, very close racing at the front!! Bautista actually had a great ride coming from the back of the grid and I think if he'd of qualified better could have won that! Bad luck for J Rea but I don't feel sorry for him, did the same to Lowes last year.
What....... You mean a full and proper introduction into possibly the most talked about wsbk season in years??? They should get the BSB boys doing it, that Greg Haines, absolutely clueless!!! Yesterday whilst commentating he said 'closely followed by Redding on the Honda' I bet Witham is dying to tell him to shut up!! I genuinely think I could do a better job than him!!
What a set of races. I know it's early but it looks like it could live up to the promise of a great season.
So, was that a good first outing for the new Fireblade ? I thought they would be pleased with that weekend with a completely new bike. The Yamaha was always reckoned to be a great bike, just lacking power - but that seems to have been resolved. Actually really enjoyed that for a change - who would have thought it WSBK actually entertaining racing !
I thought the Hondas did pretty good, with a little bit of bad luck thrown in. Bautista charging from the back of the grid to finish 5th or 6th but right up there with the front group was pretty impressive...... Just think what he could have done from the front! Yams were impressive, particularly Toprak and Baz!!!
Anyone else notice that Ducati didn't seem to have the raw power advantage? Previous years the were obliterating other bikes on the start-finish straight. Also Johnny Rea looked completely knackered whilst waiting to go on the podium after the last race. I wonder if that is because he had to work really hard, or if he is not 100%.
Something was wrong with Rea as he mentioned he couldn't wait to get home...super sport was good as well interesting now on slicks....said a lot to do with marketing as they sell more track day rubber whereas a road rider will buy just one set a year...
