Anyone had any experience with these? I've all of a sudden got a hankering for one. Think they look great, bit more versatile than a sports bike but still enough power to get the heart going.
I know what you mean - particularly the current 2020 version. Even just looking at it looks good, and now they have had a chance to actually test the thing as well. Likely very hooligan to ride ?
I have a friend who had an rc8...difficult to ride in town due to throttle response and clutch. He rode a Duke ( new one) when his 8 went in for service. He was totally blown away. Worlds apart. Absolutely loved. Smooth and powerful. The electronic pack was awesome..wouldn't stop talking about the Duke. And still does .he has a 790 now due to his riding circumstances but he would have a Duke in a heart beat.
gentlemen its true I work at a KTM dealer . I am lucky enough to have borrowed the superduke on a few weekends and evenings and I bloody love it . I'm 6 foot 2 15 stone and it feels so right. plenty of power great fun. I can not wait to try the new 2020 . now truth is a ktm wont handle winter like a honda will if you ride all year and yes the track packs downloads ect are expensive. we see loads with Austin cans on but they fall apart . the acroprivic look good sound good and last. if you buy a used one go for a can and track pack if possible and full ktm service. no stupid short levers the front master cylinder does not like them.ive seen a couple damage them but you can not see it till you remove lever or end up in a hedge ect. keep blade for track and duke for road !
shit pic but they are about in dealers so will soon hit test fleet so get one tried. great deals on the 2019 model too if your after a bargain. I'll take a 20 in black with carbon bst wheels carbon body acra system track pack and a fresh licence in someone else's name please.
It was insurance renewal day for the blade today so that half secures its spot in the garage! I really want to do a European tour of some sort and I cant sit on the blade for more than an hour! Think a superduke will be a great all rounder and in my head I would make much more use of it? Hmmm decisions!
well I had a guy in on Monday for a service who had just come back from a trip through the Swiss alps on one and said he had had a great time but did get heated grips put on at service .
How about doing 400 miles on a Ducati1299 or 550 miles on a ZX10r ! Don't get the hype with sportbikes being uncomfortable, done 3000 miles 10 day trips around Europe for a few years now. the lads I went with have ZZR, VFR, Superduke GT, Adventurer s ZX1000 and BMW RS and there all stretching, standing and basically anything to stop a sore arse or cramp, while I just ride with out any issue, and have arthritis in my wrist Will be doing the same on the SP2 this year.
Mate has just took delivery of a 2019 model with every extra more or less for a little over £13k awesome bike.
Had one, prob sold it a bit early all day comfort and great sound with a AR can, super smooth and very quick, you need the quickshifter so you can hold on. has the looks only a mother can love Frt end a bit vague and limited adjustment on the 2018 Its a tall bike, taller than your ave naked and im 6’2. needs the can and a comfort seat, cruise control and quickshifter are ace and the keyless ign is a cool touch reliability stories will scare you and im back on a Balde
I have, excellent bike, very powerful and versatile. Not a supersport of course, throttle is lagging, but overall good road bike. However i'm tempted to change to Ducati Streetfighter S for the looks.
I looked at the 2020, quite like the looks. It's a bit tall for me and I couldn't bring myself to swallow almost 10% APR on top of £15.7k. Just traded the Street Triple in for a new Speed.
This seems like a great deal https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/303504165290 Insurance is coming back at 500 quid a year and that is using the 5year no claims I already have on the blade policy Does anyone know if bemoto do multi bike policies? Might be cheaper adding it on instead of a new one.
