All these pics and quotes are brilliant but joking aside after the chancellor made his plans tonight I as a self employed engineer in the utilities sector is really worried at present were needed but if works stop I’m totally f**cked I will only be entitled to a paltry £92 a week which wont even pay my rent if things don’t change I’m driving to London and I am going to cut those c**ts water gas electric and broadband off and believe me I can quite easily do it
As a freelancer in the entertainment industry, I will have to use up most of my savings before I can even claim £92 per week.
Feel for you mate I really do,it just shows how unfair the system is I work near enough seven days a week eleven hours a day and have never been off sick it’s people like me that keep this countries infrastructure going but if I sat on my arse all day with lazyitess watching daytime shite I’d be treated better how fu**ed up is that
Difficult time for all. I especially feel for self employed people having been in that boat myself previously. Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that, take care everyone, stay safe!
It appears people who are self employed just have to bend over and accept the fat banger. An employee currently earning £25,000 a year could access £20,000 per annum through the new job retention scheme. Someone who’s self-employed earning the same sum might only access around £5,000 worth of support
Possibly the funniest thing I've seen for a while. On my way to the office yesterday and seen two ladies walking down the road, both wearing dust masks. I was approaching them from the back and thought one of them was just adjusting their mask but as I drove past realised she was lifting it up to take a drag on her cigarette and putting it back down again
Funniest thing I saw today was 2 security guards in Tesco holding customers back while staff wheeled a pallet load of toilet roll down the aisle.
I though I'd be quick and head down the beer aisle whilst everyone was busy ransacking the loo roll section
What this virus has really exposed is how surplus to requirements the financial sector is (hedge fund management and all that lot in London) and how important the NHS and the low paid sector are.
Morrisons and maybe others are having a one hour 7am-8am NHS staff only shop, might be able to get some bog roll at last, down to our last two
Guessing it's the same everywhere but in Newcastle there are loads of restaurants etc doing half price or even a free meal to NHS workers. Think Nando's is doing this, hopefully they dont get over run and start dishing out salmonella.
No, whilst I appreciate you are just joking, please don’t do that. Kitchen roll doesn’t breakdown like loo roll when flushed - it’ll just block the pipes. Same goes for wipes (even the ones marked as flushable - which is bollocks) etc
I have quite a lot Si....not because I'm hoarding but because us Ladies bottoms don't use as much as you guys So.....if you're desperate I'm happy to exchange say....6 rolls for a days use of your R1. I'll even deliver.
Interesting comment from a scientist - COVID-19 doesn't have wings ! - well thank god for that New plant for the office (now closed) - COVID the CACTUS - on account of it being round spiky and harmful ! And, they were not being rationed - I may end up having to eat it
