Aside from manly jobs around the house, today I watched the 2014 Motogp season and cleared a space for the incoming R1!!
Mowed the lawn Cleaned the windows and garage door. Polished the helmets, bikes already done. Tidy boiler room next
I'm starting to feel very inadequate, my garage is a bit like a garage really not a carpeted lushness. No more posh garage pics please I might end up with a serious complex. If I suggest carpeting the garage and maybe fitting a radiator I will end up divorced and just cant afford that
Still working.... maintenance on farms .. but what fucks me off is the local police are supposed to be monitoring people travelling for no reason, the amount of people with dogs in their cars for "walkies" idiots !
Had all the garage out, painted with white masonary paint, went through everything i dont need to put back in, and now have half the garage in a big pile outside for the skip
Spent Saturday cutting wood ready for winter That's will last about 3 month's Mrs Selmer50mark likes to be warm
I did that exercise late last year, first time since moving in 21 years earlier. Once finished couldn't believe how big my garage was. Got some nice shelving and worktop from 'bugdug' which helped massively. It's still not fully carpeted and clean and heated and lush though but I'm not bitter
Jet washed patio on Friday Cleaned window frames inside and out Cleaned car Polished bike again Cleaned chain and lubed (the chain) Painting internal doors Downloaded some books on WW1
They say no good deed goes unpunished. There’s been an ever so slight drip from the sink hot tap for a while, a drip every 20 minutes sort of thing, so not top priority. Bored as I am, I ordered new inserts from amazon That arrived this morning. The flexible supply pipes already have included isolation valves so alls good and job finished. In no time. No dripping tap - great. Only problem is that when I turned said isolation valves back on, would you believe it the one on the hot side now has a weep through the 1/4 turn screw. So turned it back to off as you would, no change so back to on and its still weeping Had to jerry rig a means to collect said leak and am now getting a replacement flexible hose from B&Q - luckily these are classed as essential parts so click and collect tomorrow EDIT - All sorted. B&Q came good, emailed to say I could collect in an hour so picked up and fitted. Result
Those quarter turn valves are a menace. I have one for topping up the pressure in the central heating and now nothing happens when I turn it Will replace it sometime
I'm still working and the Chinese hacker collective as spinning back up harder now that they're coming out the other side. I've also been keeping an eye on the stock market and moved some savings over into shares now that there's absolutely f*ck all interest. I never really kept an eye on it that much before but Jesus, it's an odd world out there at the minute. Bike wise though, I've have had time to fit the rad guard and polish, wax, seal and crystal coat everything I can find on the Speed. Swept and thrown a load shit out of the garage and the loft. Also realised I could do with throwing out a load of old tools and starting again with a nice new set.
I realised I've never ever cleaned the TV remote in all the years I've had it... So about to set to... Mind blowing to think what's encrusted on there lol Perhaps that's why I'm v rarely ill.... Anyway....to coin Marks phrase...that's all I can be arsed to do
