As some of us were skaters back in the day, what were your favourite videos? We would get the latest one on VHS (my local skate shop actually rented them out), go to a mates house and watch them over and over. Then we'd go outside and try everything we saw. One of my all time favourites has to be The Search For Animal Chin, followed by The Bones Brigade Video Show. Mind you, these were both made in the 80's. Santa Cruz "Wheels of Fire" and "Streets of Fire" were awesome, H-Street's "Shackle Me Not" and the like were staples of my youth.
Haha something tells me there is only going to be you and myself looking at this but will be interesting to see! As already established 'Animal Chin' was a firm favourite and indeed the first ever skate film I saw..... Some people will wonder what the hell is a skateboard film. Well Various skateboard companies who would have pro skaters on their books would often bring out a video to showcase new skaters. These films would often..... For a skater be all you would watch on repeat, I have huge memories 30 years later and it never leaves you.... If you know you know! One such film for me would be the next video I saw that year from 1989, H Streets Hocus Pocus!! The legendary Matt Hensley on the front cover.
Back garden jump Ramp and rail slide combo...... Wearing Powell Peralta Ban This T shirt VISION street wear skate shoes Matt Hensley Kingsize deck with H street grip tape!
Fucking hell, you guys are really into this thing, I thought you were joking about it at first! Some proper throwback pictures and vids there. Honestly never heard of it before this, but that's probably because Y'ALL (that's my best American accent) 100 years old compared to my lowly 43 years Chin
So you are, just checked your profile...SHIT! (walks away with head down) I must have just had a deprived childhood, but I always told my mum and dad that I was really happy in that basement. Chin
