Spray on muc off rinse off then use autoglym Aqua wax easy to apply and you do so when wet then buff off simple but great reasults....
Best thing I ever bought was a bike dryer. They are absolutely fantastic. I get the bulk of the water off with a microfiber towel but then go at it with the dryer. As for the rest of it....degrease chain first with paraffin and an oxford chain brush, hose off, wash and wax with a decent woolen mitt starting with paintwork ending with wheels and calipers etc. Sometimes repeat the bucket stage if it's really dirty. Drying is detailed above then go round with GT85 and a rag on all metal parts, nuts and bolts etc. Then go round the plastics with a generic can of PTFE motorcycle/pushbike protect and shine cleaner. Lube the chain with wurth then finally do the paint work with MrSheen and a soft cloth. Clean the summer bike every 3 or 4 rides. Winter bike gets cleaned once a week.
I ryde all year round, so in Winter, my bike rarely sees a sponge, it just gets a water hose down. Apart from road salt, I don't see the point, it just gets filfthy the next day. In Summer, it gets a soapy water wash (I know, washing up liquid is abrasive, but I still use it). I let it dry naturally. Then back to black the plastics and polish bodywork using Mr Sheen. I too have used paraffin for years, which I use to clean the chain and wheels. Paraffin doesn't attack the rubber o rings and is cheap as chips at £8 for 4 litres in B&Q. Apart from the 16:45pm at Kempton, that's my tip for the day! HTH Chin
Spray some WD40 on a cloth to detail your wheels to a nice shine. Don’t over do it, don’t want that on your tyres also crap will stick to them and excess chain lube just floats away when you next do it. Good quality wash n wax and elbow grease with PTFE spray goes along way. Demon shine works really well also and relatively cheap compared to Meguairs kit.
I'm not even going to start on my detailing shit. The best and worst thing I ever bought was a dual action polisher. Best.....you get excellent results easily on All sorts of stuff not just cars and bikes Worst.....you get sucked into a whole world of detailing products which are ALL expensive and you become a bit over zealous about cleaning and shining stuff.
I've not got much patience when it comes to stuff like this! Cover the clocks with a towel. Light rinse down. Bug remover spray on the front and anywhere else they have splatted. Left for a bit and rinsed. Pump spray bottle with citrus prewash to cover everything. Left and rinsed. Great these pump sprayers, make the job much easier. Shampoo and microfiber type mitt wash. Rinsed and left to dry and then usually spray some quick detailer over it hoping that it gives it some sort of layer which might make the next clean a little easier? Wheels done with wd40 before the above if it looks like they need it. Wipe chain over with wd40 and I'm done.
GT85 after every wash on frame , swing arm ,forks Autoglym bike shine on body work WD40 wheels 80/90 gear oil chain All this makes shit wash off so easy next time ,,,,,,, show off time

Meguairs ultimate compound, meguairs stage 2 polish and finally meguairs nxt wax. Once or twice a year then wash with meguairs shampoo, dry with woolly mammoth towel and sometime meguairs quick Detailer. Chain gets wiped over with WD40 (great tip of here, might of been our paulo) and lubed. Job done VTR used to get the same treatment
Right... Everyone is showing off how clean their bikes are, so here's mine. It's extremely clean in three parts of the swing arm. Secret to getting it so clean... Getting the stickers off! All three came off in one piece surprisingly, but had the hairdryer to hand in case. FFS, my bike is filthy... I will clean it, one day! Go on, flame me for something as usual guys n' gals! Chin

Mr Chin whilst I applaud your Motorcycle usage, that chain could pose a very dangerous problem to you or the poor person driving or riding behind you. Get some lube on it.
