Some of you may be familiar with this Gentleman who at 99 years old set out to raise funds for the NHS during this Coronavirus crisis he is walking with his frame up and down his garden to raise funds for the NHS he was hoping to raise £1,000 but to date he has raised to date over £6,500,000 ! He is a WW2 veteran and has been on BBC Breakfast news Let's give him the support he needs and donate via just giving What a remarkable Gentleman
What a guy, he’s a top lad, all he’s done for us and still doing what he can to help. Props to everyone whose donated too. There are some good people out there
Now over £16 million. Tried for ages to donate but just kept timing out because so many are supporting this, in under 5 minutes it jumped by over £30k.
If it carries on for a few more days and people try to get back on then I would say £25M is an achievable target.
Heard him in the radio this morning. Such a top guy, really selfless and had a laugh, invited Amanda Holden over for a cuppa
men like him are few and far between . if his home town does not erect a statue to his honour and he does not get a knighthood ill know this country is ready to sink into the sea. what a guy.
It may not be popular but I don't think he should get a knighthood. They tend to be given to cronies of the political parties, if anything I think a CBE would be more appropriate.
He seems like a top bloke and the figures raised in his name are incredible. I bet there are a lot of PR people out there who would like to know what specifically it is about it all that's captured people's hearts and opened their wallets. I can't quite put my finger on it as to why it's gone as big as it has. Perhaps it's a combination of everything, the current situation, a captive audience, Tom's service....
Icing on the cake was earlier today when on social media he produced the photos of him in his youth racing bikes and winning on a Scott after the war. Not only a hero, but a proper bloke
This Gentleman has just captured heart of the nation you can't but smile when you see him on tv he comes from a different generation that sadly won't be around for much longer, he is obviously very proud of his military career and we must thank him for this if you haven't donated yet please donate . The NHS is something to be proud of so lets support Captain Tom.
