I like the bungs, i must get some for mine. liking your rear sets, whats the purpose for changing them? I guess its not just asthetics?
Bungs are cheap as chips so a no brainer, and look great. They are textured just like the frame and hide the unsightly bolts. Rearsets are adjustable to suit ryder and ryding position, so not just for aesthetics, however, this set was a Christmas present from my beautiful Goddaughter (she has great taste, her dad's a biker too though), so I didn't even bug them. They are Area22's. Power Rangers are GO! Chin
Thanks Chin, Just ordered myself a set all the way from China for £4.99. Be with me in one to two months time.
That was the first thing I put on the bike Paul. You was too busy looking at my chain and beautiful headlight lenses! Chin
The Mrs has just ordered a £450 hairdryer so it seemed only fair that I shell out on 'nonsense' as well. Ordered front and rear Bridgestone S22's, Nitron Road Shock, Rear Brake Disc and a Chain & Sprocket Kit. £1000 gone in the blink of an eye. Just need to find a garage that's open to fit it all once it arrives now.
I fitted a J-Tech tail tidy to my matt black 18 plater. Was a bit worried about doing it tbh as not really experienced with this stuff. Turned out pretty straight forward. It didnt come with instructions, only a link to a youtube video of another make being fitted. Exactly the same though and was easy to follow. I must say its very well made and at £38 way cheaper than R&G etc. Highly recommended. Now waiting for a chance to take it out.
Fitted some LED headlight bulbs. Bought the ones as recommended on a thread here. Very happy with the result. Not that I thought the stock lights were bad, if anything, they’re probably the best headlights I’ve used to date! But I wanted LED’s to give a slightly more modern look, more visibility, and so they match the LED DRL’s in the indicators. even a mechanical failure like me managed to fit them! Lessons learnt, don’t use the free gloves included, take the plastic disc/clip off the bulb and install that first before doing the bulb. If no lights when you test, turn the connector around the other way
Hi Alan It has a deep rumble to it, but it's a track focused made exhaust, so track friendly. It's not overly loud; a low tone, but I wish it was louder, as I was thinking of modding the exhaust boxes to make it more of a straight through and louder pipe. The look outweighs me wanting a louder exhaust, so I'm keeping it as is for now. Growls like a mother-in-law in the higher revs though, but that's thrashing it proper! I love the look. It was the first thing that I put on the bike after buying it (the next day, believe it or not) HTH Chin
Pic was taken in a closed garage so maybe a bit misleading Yep on eBay, here’s the link, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/153595605481 ordered last Thursday and arrived yesterday. Discussed in this thread https://www.1000rr.co.uk/threads/led-headlight.30098/ with plenty of positive user feedback
I remember the discussion and I was also looking at the Philips and Cyclops bulbs, but they are hugely more expensive than the eBay bulb. I have a HID fitted to my dipped beam at the moment, but even with the slim ballast it’s hard work to find somewhere to fit it. It will be interesting to hear how good they are out on the road....
