So my bargain of a tail pack arrived today - it was listed with the tank bag part number and came with a mounting kit for the tank bag and instructions for that! I think I’ve got the mounting hardware for the tail pack too, has anyone got access to the fitting instructions for me to double check? part number is 08L56-MFL-800 also ordered the 17-19 tank bag from Fowler’s incase I can make it work, if not I’ll pass it on lol
ehhh friggin R1 Had one and p/ex’d it for the blade! Don’t get me wrong they’re awesome bikes but personally I found it top heavy even more so with a full tank. Took the blade out and mrs said I had a grin like a cheshire cat and knew I was sold on the blade (again)
I was always tempted to get that shape so I’m glad you’ve given honest feedback Daz, next bike for me is going to be a 2014-2016 SP, I’m optimistic that lozzy will give me here’s
I'm sorry dear boy......but I simply cannot consider giving my SP to someone who spells 'hers' incorrectly. As WE ALL KNOW......it's a possessive pronoun. And to prove it, I shall post a picture of all my bikes as an example... Nigela x
I see dobles now have the tail pack https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Brand-ne...103323?hash=item5da55a171b:g:zqUAAOSwHlxeijNw
If it is anything like their other stuff, you'll find it at half that at Fowlers if you ask or Maidstone Honda
Just a warning that these don't fit the SP (even with a pillion seat in place of the cowl). The fitting kit attaches to the footpegs, PDF here https://www.1000rr.co.uk/threads/tail-bag-08esy-mkf-bagse.35474/ Cheers, Ian
So does it fit. I got mine, took a look and reckoned it would fit just about any blade from 04 onwards. Wouldn't have been happy paying £130, but for just over £25, I'll store it for the next euro trip. Useful for tolls and the like.,
Good warning. I'm glad I bought the Hepco Becker sportrack. Ideal solution for a tailpack with no worries about it moving or rubbed paint.
I should get it delivered next week. It looks exactly the same as the one for the 08-16, fits to a loop under riders seat and some bobbins mounted to the tank mounting points.
Me too, for the money it was definitely worth a punt, and if it comes with the fitting kit too I’ve then got two of them
I ask Steve at Maidstone about luggage on the 2017 SP/SP2, he said the tank bag a ruck sack and as little as possible on the rear cowl/seat, they do snap, he knew someone who it happened too. I said about my Kreiga 1 x 20 & 2 x 10 lt bags, he just said it your call, but he wouldn't risk it. Is this an option, although you will have to tap out the threads where the footpegs go https://www.ventura-bike.com/fitments/honda/honda-cbr-1000-rr-fireblade-17-18/
