Bought the Translogic off a member here last year & got a local dyno pro to install (as I'm mechanically dumb) Love it. Probably need to be up to 5k rpm for smooth 1st to 2nd change. Makes a nice (fart) sound on upshift. Have had a few false neutrals, but this was rider error, not unit itself. Think I paid £240 second hand. Well worth it. I paid £200 odd for a set of ASV levers, to me these are just cosmetic, whereas the QS gives a totally unique riding experience. The biggest benefit I get from it is, changing up mid corner, nothing to think about, no hand movement required with clutch, focus on the corner. Like you....did my research....why not spen the extra £100 & buy peace of mind.
So what is there to watch out for based on some gearboxes having sh@t themselves due to using a quick shifter?
I dont know if you can tbh. 3rd is supposedly inherently weak on the blade and at full chat you are smacking a small area of it with around 180hp.
I'm not sure mate. Hopefully they changed for 12+ or something but I'm not sure. There have been a couple of 3rd gear cases on here even recently. When I took my bike for a setup the guy doing it clocked the QS whilst he was adjusting the lever position. He picked 3/4 of a gear off a hook on his wall and said guess what that is. Sure enough a 3rd gear from a blade.
@Lozzy @tuktuk Guess what arrived today....oh and an expensive box of tricks i’ll be fitting over the weekend
as That's a relief as I just bought a 2013 model which has come with the HealTech QS, that was the initial reason for my query.
t haha, that's why I bought a 12 plate, to be honest you don't hear many going, i'v never heard of one on this site, a mates went but that was hammered and wheelied everywhere and it had high mileage,
