Hello, Just joined up as I have an '18RR incoming. Not sure when it will arrive in the current climate, but maybe in the next couple of weeks. Haven't had a proper sports bike since a Ninja 636 in about 2001, so not quite sure what I have let myself in for. Been tooling around on big BMWs for the last decade. Got an itch to get back on track last year and bought an MT10 on a whim. Thrashed about on it last summer and did a couple of track days, and loved it. Now want something even faster (or at least more suited to the track).
Hello and welcome fellow Tiger owner! Thats a nice one and I think its the only one that Spraybay did on the 17-19 model as a one off for a private customer. I have one of the 102 done in 2014 as i wanted an original when they first came out in 94 but never had the pennies at the time.

While searching for a bike to buy I actually found pictures of the same bike being sold about 12 months ago by a dealer on the south coast somewhere, and it had the same miles it has now. I asked North West how they got hold of it, and the dealer wasn't sure but thought it might have come from Honda itself, or from a dealer which went bust. So, looks like it has had a rather bumpy start in life in terms of ownership, but perhaps I can give it a good home.
I was trying to think of another bike paint scheme with such a reputation. Say to anyone (of a certain age) you've got an Urban Tiger blade and they will know exactly what it looks like. Is there a more famous paint scheme? You could say Ducati Red, or Kawasaki Green, but that's not really the same thing, as its just a colour and is applied to many bikes. Things like an Eddie Lawson rep are an entire model, not just a paint scheme.
Yup it certainly is iconic. You have been lucky to pick that one up as it was up for sale 12 months ago like you said. Bought my bike from northwest, travelled up to Blackpool to look at it and guy who delivered it said he’s never had to take one back. Exactly as described. Trying to get any discount was like getting blood out of a stone though!
