Took the blade to JOG Tuning (Tralee,Co. Kerry Ireland) today to see what the crack was. I knew there was a flat spot around 3k. Bike is standard except for slip on Racefit can. Was thinking if it has 175hp at crank, then I would see around 155hp at rear wheel. Was pleasantly surprised to see it put out just shy of 167. Definitely at flat spot & fuelling it out, so a powercommander is being ordered by John & will be fitted next week. Reckon 170+ at rear wheel & smooth power delivery. My first time seen a dyno in action in person. Nice set up he has.
Nice! What was it like watching your pride and joy screaming its tits off in front of you? I'd be shaking with anxiety thinking it will go bang lol.
Ive had all my hondas on a PCV Mine just had an oil change but after 4 hours of dyno I felt like I should do another!
Usually it's screaming it's tits off underneath me Yeah...kinda hard to watch someone redlining it (nearly). You kinda think, is it going to go bang. He was impressed with initial run also. Since seeing the dyno result (even though I knew there was a flat spot at 3k) it's even more noticeable now. At 3k, it's usually where you are in 1st or 2nd gear on a junction & could do without the snatchiness .
When my 1299 was re-flashed it was on the dyno pretty much all day. I was there waiting for it to shit itself
