Being an old git the idea of a bike lift rather appeals and having the wheels hang free would be a nice detail. Does anybody have any experience of this device? I'm worried about the front mount as all I can remember there is plastic and pipes, so not very load bearing. Also it's getting the fairing bits off that would be nice not to do grovelling on the floor.
I use the low level ones which are great for getting the wheels off the ground and moving the bike around. I've seen the demonstrations at the NEC, but what puts me off is the time and faff taken to hook the bike up and jack it up.
They're a bit marmite, but I've had no problems with my warrior lift. Just needs one adaptor to be fitted. Mine has been on it the entire lockdown, some have had the problem getting the bike completely vertical but mine is dead upright - dirt cheap too. The ABBA is resigned to the back of the garden and the paddock only used to adjust the chain or remove the rear wheel
I bought the warrior stand best thing ever, you can remove both wheels, and over winter the load can be taken off the suspension.
Thanks guys. So I ordered one. Where I'm going to put it when it hasn't got a bike on it god only knows.
I wasn't sure with so many mentioning the Warrior. If the bit that clamps on to the bike folds away then it can be stored with the feet slid under the bike as with the Warrior when the bike is parked on its side stand.
Yeah the only mention of the eazyrizer is the concern about the front mount, it's just exhaust pipes and plastics under there. Not sure I would want the whole weight of the bike on it. ABBA skylift or the warrior would have been potentially a much better alternative

It came. I put it together. It needed a couple of tweaks but it's nice to have instructions with torque setting for crucial bolts. The first time was a voyage of discovery but the bike ended up in the air. The second time was remarkably quick, I thought it would take longer. I'm pleased with it. Where on earth I'm going to keep it when it's not lifting the bike is another matter.
Pictures of the vital bits and some notes. http://www.nigelhewitt.co.uk/stuff/bikes/eazyrizer/index.html
I have got a question nigel You have took the picture with two other stands present, Do you have to use these two stands before you put the eazy under it?
The one on the front wheel locks the bike vertical, the rear stand just lifts it so there is room for the front support to slide in. That is a big steel lump with a over half a cm of rubber on it. Then wind the lift up until the brackets reach the peg mounts then apply the u-bolts. It may be slightly overkill but the last thing I want to do is drop it.
