Anyone on here know where I can locate/buy a new Bmw wheel locking nut key mines sheared the wiggly pattern off on the inside and the bloody dealers is currently shut indefinitely any suggestions for an independent supplier would be helpful There is no serial number or code on the key just a green dot and to make it worse there is a least 60 key patterns Any help greatly appreciated many thanks in advance
Do you not have the box the key came in with the four original none lock stud nuts? Dealers normally tuck them in the boot under the carpet or in the little side cubbyholes. The box should have the key code on it. With that info you should be able to get a way to source a replacement via BMW UK web site support or such. Good Luck @Manofsteel
When you say sheared. Is it because its tight or because previous owner has abused it ? I know the Rac carry a tool to remove them. But they charge £6 as it's a one use blade. And only if it's a breakdown .ie puncture.
Too tight I was taking the wheels off to clean inside them first three were tightish but came off last one didn’t even budge just sheared the insert off
That is typically of that style The tool the RAC use is what I have used. It makes a copy of that by smacking the f### out of the special tool and then you can remove all four and then buy a new set, but I would not go for that style
I had same problem, I went to the dealers who matched the key up and I ended up buying a key from them for about £30. The key is shit soft metal. So I bought another of eBay made of hardened steel, obviously you need the key code to shop for one
