Anyone using Supercorsas? Got Supercorsa SP's as standard on the Speed and I'm finding that they follow the seams in the road. I ride quite a lot of quick A & B roads and they generally aren't the best road surfaces, but compared to the Bridgestones on the Blade I find these really seem to track along ridges or cracks in the surface. Anyone else find the same? I've tried various pressures, even had the suspension setup and nothing's made much of a difference. Getting to the point where in thinking of ditching them. Currently running 34 front 36 rear.
I have used loads of SC's, some SP's, find they grip very well on track and had no problems on roads, I run 36f 32-34r depending on temp
Only brand and model I’ve Used for years, Never had any issues other than wearing rears out at an alarming rate! If you have already experimented with pressures and bike setup the only thing I can suggest is try some new tyres. How old are they? And have they still got a good profile?
Should be fairly new, bought the bike just before lockdown, 20 plate. They've only got 390 miles on them. I might just make an effort to kill them off fairly soon and see how they go. At least I won't feel like I've binned some new tyres that way.
Yeah they shouldn't be doing that! Stomped on that one if you have tried all other options. I've ridden the new 1050RS on the same tyre combo. Demo bike with 600 odd miles on the clock with no handling issues.
I may try a couple more psi in the front tomorrow, see if that helps. At least I can feel what they're doing now after the suspension setup.
I'd definitely try again and see how you get on. Pretty much the only negative comments I've heard about with the SP tyre is lack of wet grip. Other than that they offer top Marks for just about every aspect of handling... Good luck hope it works out.
I've SuperCorsa on the blade, like your self only done 300-ish miles, they work fine for me. Standard pressure 36F42R, I was going to run at a softer pressure but Honda recommend those as do most Jap bikes, strange how Ducati recommend 32F 34R on 1299.
