Today I’m off to Newmarket to pick up a drill bit (new awning needs putting up) where are you riding to today?
Today my bike's away up the west coast without me. Flatmate's gixer is off the road waiting on an MOT(ran out just before the start of the exemption period). When I suggested last night that he take the blade to go see the kids his eyes lit up. Yesterday however I done one of my favorite local loops. Newton Mearns to Stewarton, across to Moscow, down to Sorn and over to Douglas. Turn back to Muirkirk, over the high road to Eaglesham then finish with a pootle through East Kilbride. 100-odd miles of total roller coaster material. Spied a 4wd out on the hill at Drumclog as I was passing so that must be them open again. Fair put me in the mood to take the KTM (400EXC) down for some exercise. I'll wait 'till midweek though when the playground's quieter. This weekend will probably be mayhem.
Got my drill bit, roads chocka-block. Got some noise out of her though - neighbours heard me up the bypass! Struggled to fit a 200mm long drill bit in the boot
On the plus side had a fella come up to me whilst togging up to leave and say “nice Fireblade” had a 5 min yarn with him, he’s got a blade too
Had a ride up to the Cat and Fiddle, which is now open by the way. Met up with our very own @Lozzy there and then headed over to Castleton, or at least I think that's where we were. Absolutely stunning scenery and a nice run it was too!!
Alas I'm not in the right frame of mind to be riding. So to remove temptation I started drinking at 12pm. Not ideal I know. But I wont drive /ride when I've had a drink so it's the safer option. Really enjoying your pics though guys . Thank you
That's just the light that @LRJimmy...... They're right on the edge!! But at a 1000 miles on the clock could say they're still new!!! Track day in August will sort that out sunshine don't you worry
You missed one out Paul... You know....the one where the BikerPics photographer asked you to do another run by... so he could get out the right camera to capture your speed...
LOL, I can't talk...I'm back at work - inside with the sun shining outside and all shivery as I should be 6000 miles South! So to compensate I just ordered a 15 tog duvet online My new tyres don't have strips yet, I still have a whole chicken!
Di's at Willi Woods... For info the cafe & loos are back open And....Green Hut Ollerton is back to 7 days opening too
Done 200 miles today round the Lakes. Caton, Shap, Kendal, Windermere, Coniston, Ulverston and then back home via Lancaster. Just me and my buddy on his Speed Triple. Good ride out. Bike needs cleaning now though. Bloody bugs!
