At that rate I'd pop into screwfix and get my own! That's exactly what I'm trying to avoid with Honda, no matter how good the deal they're offering me is! If I feel cramped and annoyed during the first hour or so, imagine what it'll be like 6 months later with winter temperatures and rain added to the mix!
I bought my 1299s from Riders Bridgewater, £19995 plus £1k for extended warranty. Salesman verbal they don't go wrong now, they are owned by Audi,I can't think of one person who I've sold a 1299 to has any issues. Lying Twat ! Funny thing is though I went back to do a part ex with them for a V4s same salesman, he could not believe the amount of warranty that I'd had done, still insisted they don't go wrong even though its all over forums internet the issues with the electrics & poor build quality . He offered me the lowest of all the Ducati dealers £12k Just said we don't want it has everyone wants the V4s.. Wanker
Every trip I did round europe got of the ferry staight to Ducati dealer GT's in Plymouth, left it there Mrs picked me up 5/6 weeks later when summer is over a phone call your bike is ready. Go up in a van to collect then find broken clips on fairings, missing bolts and so on.
You get use to the side stand, so much so I forget I'm on a Blade now ! I insulated the underneath of the seat and the exhaust shield it helped .
I am the same heart says v4s but just pray you get a good one...I may wait until they do a facelift one as one point Honda has got right is the front of the new blade with the wings built in........key with Ducati is to have a good relationship with the dealer I am lucky as Moto Rapido on the doorstep but still wouldn't want it sat there for months waiting for warrenty work to be done also once out time to trade in....my sp agreement up next July so around Dec/Jan will be looking although with the virus development of new models may of been pushed back so may wait anther year....
Eeesh, that's a lot! The amount I use my bike, I wouldn't want to be without it any more than necessary. My dealer mentioned the sound is louder than UK track noise limits when you open up the throttle
By just looking at the exhaust can, it has exactly the same opening and design as used on Yamaha and BMW. This is my can: And I came back from Brands GP yday and had no issues with 101db static limit. Donny un-licensed day is 108 or something like that. I think it's fair to say that your dealer (pretty much as any other dealer) is clueless. New Honda will be fine at every UK track (with DB killer on some).
I took it with a pinch of salt, unsure why he'd say that as he might just lose a customer if he carries on. Good to know! The Honda exhaust also looks identical to the 2020 RSV4's too and I've not heard any issues with that bike failing noise tests either.
Has there been any road based review video by the motoring press etc - from what I’ve seen so far it sounds like it will be virtually ‘unrideable’ for normal road conditions?
Currently the only English reviews are track based (that I can find) but have seen others in outside of the UK that have done road tests (but can't understand them! ). The UK/English speaking track tests all say the same thing about power being all at the top end and the position being more aggressive than the 2017-19 models

In the news today - Honda have been targeted by a ransomware computer virus affecting lots of their factories, but did not mention Japan. It has shut down crucial IT system within the company. It seems they have been deliberately targeted, rather than just picking up something nasty whilst surfing the net. A bit of a shocker It would be interesting to know how that gets resolved, but that part might stay out of the news.
From the threat intel it looks like a targeted attack using a bit of ransomware called EKANS. If they're lucky they've just encrypted data and haven't nicked it. Looking at the MO they tend to just encrypt and ask for cash, not extort off the back off data theft. It's more common the steal the data as well as encrypt these days, double threat to pay up. If they have stolen data it could be time to keep an eye on your bank account. Hopefully Honda have got some robust disaster recovery and business continuity processes in place, or not.
They have probably sent out their top Ninjas who are climbing around on roof tops, with a collection of silent and deadly ancient weapons I wonder if it is anybody on here Seriously. You would hope that a top Japanese firm like Honda would have a backup plan for this kind of thing. That is why it would be interesting to know what happens. They could make a film out of something like that ! Hope they come out of it ok.
You'd be surprised. The last couple of years I've had some fairly major and I mean multi-billion dollar companies ask if I'd consider running cyber ops for them because they've got no one doing it. I won't name names, but a couple of them actually sell cyber insurance and have no one doing the job. Anything that increases income and profit margins tend to be the big sellers. Cyber, DR and BC are a hard sell because a lot of boards don't see any tangible benefit until the shit hits the fan. Hopefully they spent the cash. I've been where they are and it's not a nice place to be.
